MMA Fighters Who Cross Over
The photo above shows Forrest Griffin and Mac Danzig in their roles as police officers in the movie by Tucker Max, "I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell."
Since I do not drink, this subject won't be an issue for me. I hope there are dogs and horses in heaven because I have had so many I would love to meet again, but beer? I can not even stand the smell, and would rather have tea, with Splenda, please, if it's possible.
Not knowing what the author Tucker Max or his movie are about, I imagine this is just a comedic romp concerning one man's life experiences; beyond that I haven't a clue.

The movie isn't really the focus of my article. The fact that more MMA stars are finding their way into acting in movies is. So far the transitions have been fairly successful which leaves me hopeful that the trend will continue, as the shelf life of an MMA fighter is not all that long.
This Tuesday a prequel to the Scorpion King movie starring Randy Couture was released straight to DVD without being run at the major theaters. I for one am disappointed not to have seen it on the big movie screen because the setting is very elaborate, extravagant and beautifully breath taking, in my point of view.
Scenes of MMA fighting complete with Randy performing a bone shattering arm bar which displayed Randy's fighting prowess at its best. Although he will not receive an Oscar for his acting I was rather surprised and found him very well suited for the role of the powerful antagonist.
This is Randy's second movie in the Scorpion King genre and I for one was delighted that he got the chance to display his skills in a movie that was not beyond his abilities.
Of course I intend to see Forrest and Mac in their big screen debut to see if they will get to display any fighting skills or were hired on the basis of their personalities. Either way I will probably be well entertained.
I read somewhere that Georges St. Pierre will have two scenes in a not yet released movie. Naturally I have already forgotten the title, but hope to recognise it when it is released.
My strongest desire is to have a sequel to the "Pacifier" movie with GSP starring rather than Vin Diesel. That movie still captivates me and I like to imagine Georges starring in the role. I wonder of I should write the screenplay myself? Hmm, Pacifier II?
News out of Albuquerque, New Mexico, has announced that fighters from Greg Jackson's gym will also be appearing in scenes of another movie soon. Gosh, another film to look forward to seeing, perhaps in the theater this time.
Now I am thinking, that If only Tito and Jenna would dye their hair dark, they could do a remake of Cleopatra.
That would surely be a film for the ages, and I would suggest the ages be 17 and over for obvious reasons.
