Also, according to SBI, the Los Angeles Galaxy have traded Carlos Ruiz to Toronto FC. This is a trade that has been brewing for almost two months, as we first suggested its possibility early last month.
To make room, Toronto FC has waived French midfielder Laurent Robert. It did not take Robert long to wear out his welcome in MLS.
The Ruiz trade opens up a roster space for the Galaxy, which it is going to fill with US national team midfielder/defender Eddie Lewis. Lewis is a free agent after being cut by the worst team in Premier League History, Derby County.
