Maurice Edu: Glasgow Rangers To Sign USA International
Fulham always seemed to be known as America's European club but things are changing.Ā The London sideĀ had a clearout over the summer and many who got their marching orders were Americans.
Now, though, it appears to be Glasgow Rangers who are taking over that mantle.
American star DeMarcus Beasley plys his trade at Ibrox and he followed on from great United StatesĀ names, such as Claudio Reyna, as a Rangers player.

Latest USMNT Roster Rumors š
Rangers now look to have added another United States international to their ranks.
Maurice Edu has agreed terms with the Scottish side and now waits for word on his work permit application.
The fee is reported to be around $5 million for the 22-year-old midfielder, who only graduated to Major League Soccer last season with Toronto.
Last year's MLS Rookie of the Year has just finished Olympic duty with the States and was recommended to Rangers by former Old Firm star Mo Johnstone.
Johnstone, who is famous in Scotland for playing on both sides of the Old Firm with Celtic and then Rangers has been involved in the MLS for numerous years now and reckons Edu has what it takes to make it in Britain.
Edu scored six goals in 38 appearances for Toronto and has six caps for his country. The youngster has also been selected to be the face of FIFA 2009 in North America. His Toronto shirt is now expected to be changed toĀ either RangersĀ or to his national team jersey.
Quite a coup for Rangers I'd say!
I must admit I hadn't heard of him before but his stats look good and the furore around him, for example by his appearance on the cover of FIFA 2009, must mean something.
So remember America, who your team is this side of the pond.
We are the famous Glasgow Rangers!
