Match 1: Jeff Hardy vs. MVP
- While the match wasn't very well hyped, I really enjoyed it. It started very strong and I thought it was over when after maybe 3 minutes. Because MVP hit a strong running belly-to-belly suplex. Then the match slowed down and MVP and Jeff Hardy went back and forth until Jeff hit the Whisper in the Wind, and went to the top to hit the Swanton Bomb and Shelton Benjamin came out of the crowd, and Jeff made a cross-body block on Shelton, and then tried to hit the Swanton on MVP, and then MVP moved and hit the Drive-By Kick.

Match 2: Winner Takes All
- The match itself, SUCKED RAT BALLS! I hated it, because it last about 6 minutes and didn't focuse enough on the Divas'. While Beth did pin Mickie to win, she didn't make it enough. Kofi comes in and takes out Santino and Beth hits the Glam Slam and the 1,2,3. Then Beth carries Santino out of the arena on her shoulders.

Shawn Micheals Career Annoucement
- PERFECT. Shawn and Rebecca, his smoking hot wife, Micheals come down and Shawn says, he will "retire". Then Chris Jericho come out and makes Shawn say he is only retiring due to Chris Jericho. Then while they were leaving Chris Jericho hits Rebecca Micheals in the face.

Match 3: ECW Title
- A horrible match, Mark whips Matt into the turnbuckle and Matt hits the Twist-of-Fate, and Tony Atlas pulls Hardy out and the DQ, and then Jeff comes and they hit a a double suplex. This Hardy-Henry feud will go to the Unforgiven.

Match 4: World Heavyweight Title
- Good match. Everyone knows that CM Punk was going to put in a good effort. JBL, though, surprised everyone with a better effort than he has been giving lately. CM Punk suffers a gash in the back of his head after an accidental bump that saw both men's skull crashing into one another. That might have caused the ending to be rushed just a bit. And Punk retains the championship.

Match 5: WWE Title
- Going into this match, very few people were expecting a great match. Most people watched this match just to see how much Triple H can carry the match. Triple H came through and delivered a great performance. He actually was able to carry the Great Khali to a good match and carried out the gold.

Match 6: Cena vs. Batista
- I said that WWE should have really waited until Wrestlemania to do this match-up? Well, the fact that there was still enough hype behind this match despite a weak buildup really proves my point. The hype really made this match that much better. It was an excellent match, but it certainly wasn't either man's greatest performance ever. Do this match again at Wrestlemania with a good buildup, and we're talking about a 10/10 match rating.

Match 7: Hell in a Cell
- Very few match in the history of WWE has ever really lived up to the hype (mainly because WWE has been so great at promoting shows). The Hell in a Cell match not only lived up to the hype, it surpassed it. Despite being away from the ring for an extended period of time, the Undertaker managed to come back in top form. A veteran like him has that knack for being able to deliver in big matches. What more can be said about Edge? He carried Smackdown on his back by being one of the best performers in the history of the business over the last few months. When the time came to do the match, he really came through with one of his best performances ever. Years from now, if you pick up a DVD of this match, you won't think that it's the best Hell in a Cell match ever. However, those of that do remember the buildup for the match will certainly rank it among the best.

Final Analysis
- Despite good performances from Triple H, CM Punk, and JBL, Summerslam still needed another blockbuster match. One more match would have been able to put Summerslam into contention for a 10/10 ratings. Edge, the Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Chris Jericho, Batista, and John Cena really came through and made Summerslam a memorable event.
