Just When You Thought The A's Couldn't Do Any Worse......
Just when Oakland A's fans thought the season couldn't get any worse a game like today just adds on to how far the A's have fallen. When two nights before the A's won in dramatic fashion. With the A's trailing 3-0 Jack Cust hits a two run homerun in the bottom of the sixth to get within one run. Another dagger hits when Jerry Blevins gives up a solo homerun in the to Carlos Quentin. Making the game 4-2 heading into the bottom of the 8th. Usually giving up a run to make it a two run game spells doom for the A's, but not on this night.
In the bottom of the eighth Mark Ellis hits a solo homerun off of Octavio Dotel to make it 4-3 White Sox. A few batters later Jack Cust hits another solo homerun off Dotel to tie the game up. Huston Street pitches the top of the ninth inning allowing no runs. Emil Brown pinch hits for Jack Hannahan to face Horacio Ramirez. Brown hits a leadoff double and is pinch ran for by Cliff Pennington. Daric Barton lays down a perfect sacrafice bunt getting Pennington to third. DJ Carasco is brought in to face pinch hitter Kurt Suzuki worked the count to 3-2 and hits a game winning two run homerun.

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
If you were like me a game like this should have rejuvenated the A's to take the series or at least make it one. Not only did they not win any of the other games in the series against the White Sox. They got throttled today 13-1. Instead of having something like that win turn the season around to hopefully get the A's back to .500 they have managed to fall even deeper into a free fall.
Again another questionable move by Bob Geren leads to more runs for a starting pitcher. Gio Gonzalez had already given up 6 runs and instead of pulling him from the game he has him go out for the top of the 4th where he gives up two more runs. This exampe just clinches it both with the lack of effort from the club from winning a dramatic game like on Friday night against the White Sox and not having a manager who will pull a pitcher from the game when struggling further increases the frustration of A's fans as well as players. At the end of the season Geren is no longer managing the A's and the sooner the better.
Of all the decisions Billy Beane has made the hiring of Bob Geren has been his worst move. Personal feelings aside even last year it showed that Geren had no business being a manager in the Major Leagues. So, please Billy Beane do every A's fan a favor and fire Geren!
