Picture Perfect Season

The 2007-2008 season had been the perfect season this Boston Celtic team could ask for. Many critics and people had doubted that this time would be able to work together in only 1 year, but the big three and the entire Boston Celtic team had prove them wrong. Doc Rivers had been an excellent coach for the Celtics, he made them play hard nose defense and as many people have said, "Defense Wins Championships". Paul Pierce, the 2008 Finals MVP had transformed into a player he had never been like in his career, He played fantastic offense as he did on the defensive side. He was making plays and being a playmaker, showing how highly underrated he is on the passing side and on the defensive side of the ball, You don't see many 30 year olds like him transform like that. Kevin Garnett had also made a huge impact throughout the season by playing just shut down defense and anchoring the defense for the Boston Celtics, He is the most versatile defender in the league and he won the Defensive Player Of the year award and was in the MVP race early in the season and still was an MVP candidate at the end of the year.

We also cannot forget the role players and Ray Allen, Ray Allen would also spread the floor for the Boston Celtics and you would NEVER be allowed to leave this guy open because this guy is automatic from down-town. Rajon Rondo had also been a player you could not have forgotten, many people doubted this sophomore from the NBA would be able to run the offense for the Boston Celtics and be the starting PG for a championship team, but he proved them dead wrong. What he did in the finals in the playoffs was magnificent he had been a very great defensive PG and an underrated offensive player as well, All Rondo had to do is set-up KG, Ray and Pierce and he did what he needed to do and he was able to get them to the championship. Other role players like James Posey, Leon Powe, and Kendrick Perkins cannot be forgotten either for what they did in the finals, What Perkins had did in the finals was pretty good as well, He had rebounded, played lock down defense and he did his job very well shutting down Pau Gasol. Leon Powe had been a hustler all-season long hungry for rebounds in every play, finishing at the rim and just playing amazing defense which the entire team did all season long. Now last and not least we cannot forget about James Posey, this guy has been a standout for the Boston Celtics he had played lock-down defense in the playoffs and he had also been an amazing clutch shooter and 3 point shooter in general, James Posey is a highly underrated player and he deserves a lot of money for what he does as a role player.

This was the perfect season for the Boston Celtics, They are not even done yet, Paul Pierce, Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett are still in there primes they are not past that yet, This season was not do or die, they still have a shot at a title for 2009 or even 2010, Who knows?! But all I know is this season has been spectacular and the Boston Celtics had proved the doubters wrong.
