What Is Wrong with WWE These Days?

Greetings to any and all who are reading this. This is my first foray into the writing world, through this site anyway.

As much of a wrestling fan as I am, I must say that I have been extremely disappointed with the direction things have been going for quite some time. Gone are the days when all the wrestlers were great on the mic and could tell great stories in the ring. Barring the Jericho/Michaels feud, there is nothing worth watching on WWE programming.

The draft? Bad idea. Bringing back ECW? Even worse idea. Vince needs to realize that this isn't working anymore. Here is what he needs to do.

Fire everyone who fails to get over with the fans, or make them road agents.

Just about everyone in ECW needs to go and the very few that can stay need to be re-packaged. People like Chavo and Morrison can stay. But please, for the love of God, get rid of the ECW old timers and that no good jack** Kofi Kingston.

Okay, ECW rant out of the way.

Next, reduce your product to one show...one. No more Smackdown, please. And RAW needs a facelift badly. Maybe even a new name.

JR and Jerry Lawler are the only announcers worth having on television. Michael Cole is a jerk and no one cares about Mick Foley anymore. And don't even get me started on Tazz. That guy sold out faster than the IPhone.

Next, make the women valet and managers. No more women wrestling, please. It's awful. It was never good. Ever! Enough said.

Last but not least, stop building your company around your son-in-law and a kid from West Newbury, Massachusetts that no one likes.

I went to school with HHH here in good ol' Nashua, New Hampshire. I don't have a problem with him at all, except that he has too much stroke, being Steph's husband and all.

John Cena, on the other hand, needs to go find work as an actor in B movies. He sucks and always has. If I have to see him come out one more time and give the overdone salute, I may vomit.

So, there it is. My take. Have your own opinion? Let me know. I look forward to anything anyone has to say.

Sorry but I have to disagree. Where do I start?

Why would you fire everyone that is not getting over with the fans? Thats just stupid not many wrestlers make theire debut and are instantly over. How is Kofi Kingston a jackass? I myself am a fan of his. And I wish people would wake the f up and realize that ECW is never going to be as good as the old days. To me its a solid 1 hour show that allows performers to develop like Evan Bounre, Estrada, Miz and Morrison. Guys that aren't quite ready to be on Raw or Smackdown.

IMO Michael Cole has become very good at his job. No matter how much I love the pairing of JR and King that doesn't mean everyone else sucks. I certainly care about Mick Foley btw. And Tazz, imo he has become one of the best colour commentator's and is always a joy to listen too.

Women's Wrestling was never good? What about the old days? What about Victoria, Trish, and Mickie. Hell Mickie and Trish's match at Mania 22 was awesome and almost stole the show. There are women out there that can wrestle man they just don't always show up in the WWE.

HHH has too much stroke, well one can argue that but no one can argue what he has done for this buisness and how over he is. HHH puts the asses in the seats as does Cena. FYI its not cool to be a Cena hater anymore man. In 2007 he was involved in maybe 4 out of 5 of the best matches. He carried The Great Khali to a decent match-up and he is over like hell. Cena's is passionate about this business and Vince can count on him not leaving. Overdone salute? Aren't all taunts "Overdone". Jericho's entrance with his arms, the dx X symbol, the Undertaker's hand raise?

Im glad you have your opinions but im the kind of wrestling fan who tries to see the best out of everything. I find you enjoy the product more when you don't always look for flaws.

Get rid of women's wrestling? How about get MORE women that can actually wrestle!! Eric is right, Trish vs Mickie was an amazing match at Mania, and I'd like to see more of that.

Get rid of everyone on ECW? Yeah, because Matt Sydal (Evan Bourne) and Matt Hardy, among others, are totally worthless. Really? Sydal is an AMAZING athlete, and I personally am I huge Hardy Boyz fan.

And on Kofi Kingston- he's a great athlete and I can see him as a great IC champ just as David said.

The WWE needs to show SD! live, improve their storylines, and reconsider this PG rating. I know they're trying to fix their image after the Benoit murder-suicide, but that doesn't mean they can get rid of quality storylines and quality matches that might actually need a little blood.

First the draft was really bad for ecw. I can agree with you that ecw has to go, except morrison. I would say we need two shows, if smackdown started to go live then i would think it would beat raw. F michael, he sucks you know what trading jr an michael was stupid, i liked it when tazz an michael where on smackdown. F cena he gets so many damn chances at a championship an comes short they need to stop doing that an he sucks, boring as hell.Triple HHH is alright. An get it edited, missed spelled look.

You both spelled things wrong, first of all. Next, I don't think ECW has to go, but maybe change the name. There's nothing left of the old ECW except Tommy Dreamer, Tazz and the ECW name. There are several great superstars on ECW, and I love that they put Teddy Long as the new GM. In my opinion, he was the greatest GM of SmackDown! histoy. I agree with an article I read the other day saying that they should tape ECW and show SmackDown! live, that would be really good for the company. And I don't know how anybody could not like Kofi Kingston, he is an amazing wrestler and is very over with the fans. I am very looking forward to his match tonight with Mickie James against Beth Phoenix and Santino Marella. And "Triple HHH"?? That would be HHHHHHHHH, that makes no sense at all. You meant "Triple H", you should doubl check your work before you criticize someboy else on theirs.

Ok lets drop the whole spelling crap were going no where with this. ECW is nothing now a days, some of the matches put me to sleep. Tazz an michael were great on smackdown,jr should stay on raw, its just stupid how they did it. Kofi should be a great ic champion for years. An i have to say this i like mickie as a champion but its time to give it up. Smackdown should go live cause right now i say smackdown could beat raw in ratings,it has better stars why not go live,an fire vickie cause we know she can walk

Writing articles should not be rants. This is nothing but somebody's biased point of view with very little knowledge. The wrestling business changes. It always has, and always will. Times when wrestling itself was the focal point and gimmicks were basically unheard of. Times when an American Super Hero, dominated all opposing heels, and times when actual super hero characters were all over the product. Then it went to a more realistic and RAW show with the Attitude Era. Now its changed again, its just what happens. Deal with it. You shouldn't write articles talking about firing half the roster, its unrealistic and nothing but a stupid opinion. Go onto an online journal website to bitch about what you hate about wrestling. This ain't the place for that. There's some very interesting articles on this site for wrestling fans. The whole idea to let the fans control their own version of a "PWInsider" is a great idea. But idiotic articles (if we can even call it an article) like this just ruin it. No more bullshit like this. There should be some sort of filter before more of this bitching posts come through.

I fully agree with Nick. Wrestling is an evolving sport and the WWE has made it a mainstream business. This crap about firing half of the people is pure BS. Without some of the lesser talents, there would be nothing to watch, just the same people getting in the same fights over and over again. You need new blood to keep the old blood from running bad. As far as Women wrestlers, I am glad that we are getting intergender matches back. It's empowering to know that someone isn't held to the constraints that they were born with. That a woman can fight a man and a man can fight a woman without it seeming unfair and sexist. I don't really see what the point was in posting this outrageous rant against the current direction the show is taking. They are getting some interesting new storylines and new stars in to freshen things up and things are going to be rocky for a while. Keep this in mind. Something that has been out to long becomes stale and loses its flavor. While I do like the pairing of JR and Jerry, it was time to change things up and shake the cobwebs out of the fans heads. As far as it goes concerning Triple H and John Cena. Give them some slack. It's hard enough to keep fans without worrying that they will desert you because you have fallen off the pedastal they placed you on. Everyone has their ups and downs, highs and lows. But be real with yourself, John and Triple H can be counted on to put their bodies at risk to give the fans what they want to see. ECW is a great training ground for the RAW and SmackDown! talents of tomorrow. They can't all start at the top... In the end, a true wrestling fan is there even when the road gets rocky, and these new fans that have no idea what Ric Flair, Chyna, Ryhno, Bret Hart, The Dudleys, The Hardy Boyz, Jazz, Sable, Andre the Giant, and Hulk Hogan did for the business, have no right to talk about the current direction.
