Ken Whisenhunt was apart of the Arizona Cardinals franchise turnaround. He led them to back to back division titles and even led the Cards to a Super Bowl. Whisenhunt brought discipline and depth to a Cardinals team that always featured talent.

The same Ken Whisenhunt is now the downfall of the Arizona Cardinals. Names such as Anquan Boldin, Edgerrin James, Antrel Rolle, Matt Leinart, Carlos Dansby, Calvin Pace, Neil Rackers and Antonio Smith have all left the Cardinals roster due to contract issues or a fall out with the head coach. Whisenhunt has never had a strong rapport with young outspoken athletes. While in Pittsburgh he constantly had issues with Ben Roethlisberger.

Whisenhunt's success was primarily based off playing in a weak division and winning with Denny Green's( Former Head Coach) players. Whisenhunt did bring discipline and an attitude to the team that it severely lacked. Attached at Whisenhunt's hip is Russ Grimm. Grimm is a great football mind that will someday get the opportunity to become a head coach. Whisenhunt also had great coordinators in Todd Haley and Clancy Pendergast that were apart of his Super Bowl run. Haley and Pendergast are gone from the Cardinals and the Offense and Defensive play has yet to be the same.

Ken Whisenhunt was never a fan of Matt Leinart. Ken Whisenhunt was lucky to have Kurt Warner and a very explosive offense, but now reality strikes. With Derek Anderson or Max Hall at quarterback the Arizona Cardinals are back to square one. Quarterback play is so vital in the NFL and as of now the Cardinals could use a decent quarterback.

Ken Whisenhunt's ego set in and cut Matt Leinart which was not the best decision. Leinart may have been unproven, but he had a rapport with the players and he knew the system inside and out. Larry Fitzgerald may not break 1000 yards receiving this year and this is saying a lot. Beanie Wells was shunned out of the last game against the Chargers and received a hand full of carries. Tim Hightower is a stop gap running back not a game changer. The Cardinals are slowly but surely falling back to their regular territory as a losing football team.

In the young season the Cardinals have allowed two 40 plus point games. With names such as Darnell Dockett, Joey Porter, Dominique Rodgers- Cromartie, and Adrian Wilson that feat is impossible to understand. I am not a genius, but the Whiz has lost touch with this team and it is evident.
