No improvement In The Saints Defense After The Second Preseason Game
The offense looked great out of the box, the offensive line still needs to improve on its run blocking, but overall the Saints offense had no problem driving the ball down the field and scoring with the first team offense.
The Saints defense looked horrible, the Texans did not punt in the first half of the game, and the top 3 tacklers for the defense were all from the secondary. The defensive line did not provide pressure, and allowed M. Schaub to sit back and pick away the secondary at will.
In 2007, the Saints could not stop teams from converting on third down, and Saturdays game was no different. If the defense cannot find away to go 3 and out at least half of the time. You can bet its going to be a long year.
