If you haven't noticed, Michael Phelps has won six gold medals already (all world records), going for eight. Just for kicks, he's from the University of Michigan. Therefore, as an Ohio State fan, I hope he stubs his toe on the bottom of the pool. As a fellow American, I hope he finishes with two more golds and two more world records.

U.S. gymnasts Nastia Liukin and Shawn Johnson won gold and silver in all-around competition, holding off the underage Chinese. As far as I know they sung the national anthem with their own voices even though President Bush recommended they lip-sync to the tune of Carrie Underwood.

These are just a few stories that could lead to very interesting articles on B/R. Of course, I haven't won yet. So amidst all the boring old news I read every day, I hope you enjoyed something different and fresh. I look forward to reading about other things going on in the world. "The power is yours!"
