Could Oscar De La Hoya Beat Manny Pacquiao in His Prime?
By Troy Sparks
If Oscar De La Hoya fought Manny Pacquiao in his prime years, would he win?
The "Golden Boy" told the examiner.com that it would be a different story.
He said that he would school Pacquiao if they would've fought when they were younger.
It's too late for De La Hoya to say what he would've done.
He had his only chance in the ring against Pacquiao, and look what happened. He got knocked out.
Why is it hard for De La Hoya to understand that he can't get over his defeat to the Pac-Man?
It doesn't make sense for him to run his mouth on what would've been.
I think De La Hoya is trying to stir up a little drama. He certainly won't fight Pacquiao again. And if he does, he'll get the same butt-whooping the second time.
Mr. De La Hoya better stick to running his promotion company. Maybe he can get his boy, Floyd Mayweather, to come out of hibernation and be the next man in line to fight Pacquiao. That's what the Golden Boy wants Mayweather to do.
Believe me, we all want Mayweather to come out of hiding so people can stop calling him a chicken.
I want to know what planet De La Hoya is living on. His fantasy of beating Pacquiao and Mayweather announcing to fight the pound-for-pound champ will get some boxing fans to jump on the bandwagon.
