Who is the most annoying player?

Have you ever watched a match and thought to yourself:  “God, this player is really annoying” ? Well, I have. For some reason, unknown to me, I’ve never liked specific players. They just annoy the hell out of me. So I decided to make a list of the top 5 footballers who annoy me the most.

Before I start I would just like to say that the players I have chosen are not there because of their teams. The only reason that some teams have more than one player on that list is that I know these teams and their players well.

Frank Lampard - Chelsea
I don’t know why he annoys me. Maybe it’s because there is some air of arrogance around him. The England international is always calm and sure of himself. He always scores goals exactly when I’m annoyed with him the most as if he knows that. There is something I really don’t like about this guy. He is a good footballer though.

Ashley Cole - Chelsea
Lampard’s team-mate in Chelsea is second on my list. Branded the nickname “Cashley” for his unfair treatment of Arsenal as he signed for his current team for a lot of money. His clandestine meeting with Jose Mourinho in a London café revealed only a small part of his lovely character. Not only two-faced but also greedy. Not as good footballer as #5

Anderson - Man Utd
One of the wunderkinds Sir Alex Ferguson bought two seasons ago. He is very brisk in his style of play and is not afraid to use his body to battle for the ball. His energy levels are practically unending. What annoys me is that he doesn’t stop bumping into other players even after committing a series of fouls and always gets away with it. It’s like he does not know when to draw the line.

John Obi Mikel - Chelsea
The Nigerian international is famous for his acting and hard tackling. He is often in the centre of an erupting fight amongst players. He moves somewhat inadequately ( at least that’s the impression he left with me )

Christiano Ronaldo - Man Utd
OK. Is he a professional footballer or a model for a fashion show. He shapes his eyebrows and his hair is always impeccable even after scoring with his head. He definitely uses some of the expensive hair gels. He whines a lot for no reason. He takes dives for no reason. OK, he has got the talent but why simulate, why not just use his god-given talent. He annoys me the most.
