And The Gold Goes To........Chad Johnson?

Score a touchdown, get a sack, intercept the ball, celebrate.  The man mostly associated with scoring touchdowns and celebrating in an elaborate and unique manner is Chad Johnson.  From his Irish jig to his Tiger Woods putt to his marriage proposal, this man has been fined more times than an Irishman on St. Patty's day.  But there is something wrong, it doesn't phase him one iota. 

To some kids he is considered a hero, hell to me he is a hero.  This man should be on dancing with the stars with his kind of talent, not to mention he could probably kick my butt in a game of putt-putt.  To adults he is a bit childish but its all for the love of the game.  He constantly leads the league, or is in the top 5 of every receiving stat known to man and when he adds another touchdown to his resume he shows his happiness. 

There is one thing that really makes me mad about the NFL, and that is the penalty and gargantuan fine that goes with celebrating.  Dating  back to even the late 1990's with the trademark Atlanta Falcons, "dirty bird" to the less excessive Denver Broncos, "mile high salute" to the Tony Gonzalez slam dunk.  All of these are trademarked and none of them got fines and why is that?  The NFL must feel that they get some sort of bad reputation for excessive celebrating.  Who do they have to impress?  The football league in South Korea?  My point exactly they don't have anybody to impress.  The NFL is already the premier football league in the world and the only reason they fine excessive celebration is to speed the game up so they can inevitably slow it down with more commercials, equaling more money for the NFL. 

I know some of you people that will read this are saying, "I am definitely not going to join in on his high school hypocrisy".  Take a second and evaluate my reasoning.  Stick it to the man and rebel.  It is fun.  Seriously, some of the fans in the stands deserve a fine for excessive celebrating because the woman in Section 105, Row 18, Seat 4 just exposed her breasts to the drooling, drunk idiots around her to show her true Bengal pride and she doesn't get a yellow flag, 15 yards, a first down or a $35,000 fine.  Just think about it.
