DiamondBacks Get Dunn From Reds For Three Prospects
The Arizona Diamondbacks needed a big bat in their lineup and today they acquired left fielder, Adam Dunn for three minor league prospects. This trade will add power to the middle of the Diamondbacks lineup and hopefully top the trade that the Dodgers did which they acquired left fielder Manny Ramirez.
This season Dunn has a .233 batting average, tied for the league lead in home runs with Ryan Howard with 32 home runs, and 74 runs batted in. Also since 2004, Dunn has hit the second most home runs with 198, just one behind Alex Rodriguez, who has 199.
In exchange for Dunn, the Reds got pitcher Dallas Buck and two other players that will be named later.

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
This trade could help the Diamondbacks lineup because of his power and will also Orlando Hudson just had season ending surgery on his left wrist, who was batting .305, could help the offense after losing their lead-off hitter.
This trade, I say will help the Diamondbacks win the NL West over the Dodgers. The Diamondbacks have good starting pitching. Brandon Webb, 2006 Cy Young Award winner, has been great this season.
He has a 17-4 record and 2.88 ERA, who could win the Cy Young Award again this season. Then Dan Haren who they acquired in the off season from Oakland. He has a 12-6 record with 3.00 ERA. Next they have the Big Unit, Randy Johnson. 9-8 this season with a 4.23 ERA.
The offense was hot at the beginning of the season but cooled down a lot. But left fielder, Conor Jackson is having a good season, batting .311 with 12 home runs and 60 runs batted in. third baseman, Mark Reynolds is batting .246 with 24 home runs and 79 runs batting in, which is leading the team.
Next shortstop, Stephan Drew, batting .280 with 14 home runs and 48 runs batted in. The addition of Adam Dunn will help the offense on the team score more runs.
I believe this trade will help the Diamondbacks win their division. The Dodgers pitching is unreliable. Brad Penny this season is 6-9 with a 5.66 ERA. Then Derek Lowe is 8-10 with a 4.10 ERA. Chad Billingsley is 11-9 with 3.07 ERA, who has the most wins on the team.
Then offensively, some of the Dodgers players are hitting the ball well. Catcher Russell Martain is batting .286 with 10 home runs and 53 runs batted in. Then first baseman James Loney is batting .294 with nine home runs and 64 runs batted in.
Also the outfield is shaky. The starters are in left field, Manny Ramirez, center field is Matt Kemp, and in right field is Andre Ethier. Then on the bench is Juan Pierre and Andrew Jones who is having is worst season ever.
Even though the offensive numbers look good when the Dodgers are in a slump they can be really bad. That is why I believe that the Diamondbacks will win the NL West.
