AKA the French Connection. Do I really need to explain any more?
Second Line: Miroslav Satan - Pat LaFontaine - Danny Gare
These three are probably the most prolific players in Sabres history.
Third Line: Dave Andreychuk - Chris Drury - Donald Audette
Andreychuk and Drury provide invaluable experience—and who can argue with "Captain Clutch"? Audette was a physical players who also knew how to put the puck in the net, although he was never able to play a full season.
Fourth Line: Brad May - Matthew Barnaby - Rob Ray
Dubbed the 1990s version of the Hanson Brothers, and possibly one of the best checking/fighting lines ever in the NHL.
Defense
Tim Horton - Jay McKee
Horton is the most well-known defensemen in Sabres history and McKee is probably the best offensive D-man in history.
Alexi Zhitnik - Jason Woolely
Easily two of the best players on the Sabres during the '90s.
Brian Campbell - Teppo Numminen
Campbell was one of the best defensmen to come through the Sabres system. Teppo provides experience and leadership along the blue line.
Goalies
Domink Hasek
Ryan Miller
They are/were both the franchise goalies for the Sabres. And both were the cornerstone of the team.
Coach
Lindy Ruff
Currently the longest-serving coach in the NHL, and has seen the best and worst of the Sabres franchise so far.
Executive
Darcy Regier
It's a close call between him and Muckler, but Regier has made the moves to make the Sabres one of the best teams in the league.
