We Talking About Practice?

Dale PlymaleCorrespondent IAugust 9, 2008

So today I’m heading up to Boulder to see the Colorado Buffaloes practice.

I’m really excited about seeing the new Cody Hawkins with his loaded guns. I saw him in the Del Ward a few days ago but I only got a quick glance. He put on some muscle weight and it has been reported that he has more zip on the ball.

The Rabid Goldfish (George Hypolite) and Ryan Walters will be the leaders on a defense that will need some help this year.

They lost one of my favorite players at linebacker in Jordan Dizon. They also lost the guy who shutdown Michael Crabtree last year, Terrence Wheatley. It will be interesting to see which one of the corners steps up.

I’m also interested in seeing some of the newcomers. Max Tuioti-Mariner is a beast and I can’t wait to see him put defenders on their backside. Ray Polk looks like he will be a great player for years here. Have you seen this kid? He is bound to break a lot of the coed’s hearts. If he equals the number of hearts he breaks with the amount of touchdowns he scores, he is sure to be a Heisman winner.

Oh and then there are these two:

Lynn Katoa, Me, and Darrell Scott

I’m am Excited to see how Mr. Scott will do at altitude. We will see if he has gotten used to it yet.

Unfortunately, Katoa will probably red shirt this year due to some unfortunate events. The good thing is that we will have him for another year. Woot!

We seem to be loaded at the linebacker position with Major, Rippy, Sipili and Mohler so it might not be the worst thing for Katoa to red shirt.

Anyways I’m off to practice.
