Today Floyd Mayweather Jr. is back in the news. No he's not fighting anyone in the coming months, and no it's most certainly not Manny Pacquiao.

Mayweather is now in the middle of a domestic violence incident with the mother of his children, Josie Harris. It's not a shock to see a hot head like Mayweather caught up in something like this but it is certainly a sad thing to see.

Early Morning Incident

As first reported by TMZ, the Las Vegas Police Department received the call about the alleged incident at 5:03 am and multiple cop cars rushed to the scene, which was Mayweather's home.

There's an episode of How I Met Your Mother that says nothing good ever happens after 2 a.m. and Mayweather is proving that theory right.

Claims

Harris claimed that the boxing champ attacked her but did not specify on what he did or what caused such an outburst.

I'm not sure if that's just the police hiding details or Harris' story having some holes in it but we need to wait for more facts to come in before making a real judgment call.

Hospital Visit

Harris went to Southern Hills Hospital to be checked out and was released shortly after. There was no word on how badly Harris was injured but it couldn't have been too severe if she's already left the hospital.

There's a lot of mystery around this situation.

Deja Vu?

This isn't the first time Harris has accused Mayweather Jr. of attacking her. Back in 2003, Harris said the boxer punched and kicked her inside of a Bentley.

Charges were filed but later dropped after Harris said she was mad that Mayweather left her for another woman and lied about the violence.

Mayweather was nowhere to be found when the police arrived at his house and the authorities still have not spoken to the boxer about the alleged incident.

It's not a good look for you when you're not there when the police show up.

Restraining Order

Now that Harris is out of the hospital, she is headed to the Las Vegas Police Department to get a restraining order against Mayweather.

Considering this is possibly the second time (allegedly) that he attacked her, that's probably for the best.

No Charges Yet

There have been no charges filed against Mayweather as of now as the police want to speak to him before taking any further action.

It might be wise for Pretty Boy Floyd to make an appearance at the police station sooner rather than later.

Last week, Mayweather went to Ustream and went on a racist rant towards Manny Pacquiao.

The boxer insulted Pacquiao's race, made fun of his height, and questioned his sexuality. That, my friends, is the danger of the internet.

Backlash

The remarks created a firestorm, especially in the Filipino community. The National Federation of Filipino American Associations released a statement condemning Mayweather's remarks, saying the boxer crossed the line.

"This disgusting diatribe against Pacquiao is a racial slur against all Filipinos and Filipino Americans and an embarrassment not only to the boxing community, but to all Americans," read part of the statement.

Will It Ever Happen?

You have to wonder, with Mayweather being in the news for all of the wrong reasons recently, will Mayweather and Pacquiao ever sign on the dotted line, put on the gloves and fight?

It may be the only fight that could save boxing and it needs to happen for the two men's legacy's and for the sport.
