Dubz is Thinking… Art Monk Should Have Been In A Long Time Ago

Here we are again, another week in the books leading up to the NFL season.  Wait a second… we actually had a football game this week… ON FREAKIN’ TV!

Well kinda…

Preseason football is like watching a PGA tournament on Thursday, lots of faces, lots of stuff going on - not a lot of meat.  Yet, we watched it anyhow didn’t we.  We did.

Anyone else glad Art Monk is finally in the HOF?  I am a ‘Skins fan, have been for a million years and seeing him passed on over and over… made me sick.  This guy was a top-notch ball catchin’ fool.  So it was great to see him get in.  I’m glad the ovation lasted for as long as it did as well, made up for all those years he was passed on.  Could not have asked for a better crowd either to witness it.

Favre…  nah, I’m not even going to touch it.

YEAH!  Kyle Boller is back at the helm… maybe.  What?!?  No one else is excited about 128 yards 1 TD & 2 INTs? Fantasy-freakin’-gold people.  Errr… copper?  Aluminum maybe?

Anyone else put Steve Smith a little higher on their list after questioning him after last year?  Dude still has passion, he likes to use that passion on his teammates.  I kinda like it though.  Not sure what you get fantasy-wise out of things like that… but I like it nonetheless.

Dear Mr. Goodell - so no drunkeness, no unruly behavior and no foul or abusive language.  What is left?  Is this tennis or football?  Give me a break.  I understand you are trying to uphold the game and all that jazz… but listen, we weren’t the ones beatin’ up strippers in Vegas - get off our backs.  Geeeeeez.

Doesn’t some news just kind of make you laugh in terms of fantasy football?  Like who’s going to be the Jet’s QB… well, honestly… the only way it is going to effect my fantasy season is if the call me up and start me.  That could potentially screw up my fantasy team, since I will be spending my spare time studying the playbook and such.   I know football is more than fantasy for a lot of folks… but for me… Jet’s QB situation really doesn’t mean jack to me and mine.

Am I hearing problems again out of NY again with Plax’s ankle?  They keep saying it isn’t related to last year’s ankle injury… but seriously?  I love Plax… have for a long time, I wish I could have him playing at 100%… hell 90% would be nice.

Another week closer to the big kickoff… better get your beer picked out and fluff up your chair a bit.  It is almost showtime.
