Dana White's Chance to "Trump" Tito Ortiz's New Contract
As Dana White stated after Tito Ortiz upstaged the president of the UFC by taking over the post UFC 84 press conference, "We would have to discuss the issue (a new UFC contract for Tito) in a room together, speaking as two adults, and we cannot do that."
Today, Tito is spreading the news that he has just signed "the best MMA contract ever" and will be representing Affliction as an ambassador, as well as being one of their headliners in the future.
His gloating of making a deal unlike any ever signed with the UFC has set the stage for Dana, the king of MMA one-upmanship to sign an even more newsworthy contract with UFC fan-favorite Georges St. Pierre, who, on the eve of his next historic fight, UFC 87, has not yet re-signed a contract with the UFC.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
St. Pierre's current contract has two fights left before it expires and could potentially become a free agent that every MMA organization would love to add to their stable, or perhaps I should say "roster", instead.
Since GSP is considered to be among the top-three P4P fighters of the MMA world, and at the age of 27 is just beginning to peak, he would be a much bigger bargain than 33-year old Tito Ortiz, who many fans feel has seen his best days in the rear view mirror.
As a fan of both men, I admit to enjoying Tito's brash escapades and reports of his romance with Jenna Jameson, who is now carrying his child.
Anticipating the shirts he would display after his fights became a Willis-family favorite pastime. The attempt to predict the closest trash-talk tee did not win a prize for the person with the closest quote, but did cause us to come up with many memorable sayings.
Of course, none were ever close to the original Tito-isms, but that is what we find so endearing about his larger-than-life persona.
Now Georges, on the other hand, was not an easy sell for me to make to my family.
My husband, who is not an MMA fan in the first place—he prefers NASCAR—is suspicious of anything French, due to having read too many war novels, obviously.
To salvage our 40-years and counting marriage, he has learned to be, if not a Francophile, a "Georges-ophile", so the horses won't have to become an issue of a nasty divorce.
My 15-1/2-year old grandson is a Matt Hughes fan, and he did not take Matt's losses to Georges very well, initially, but as a wrestler (even at the high school level), he has come to consider "Rush" as an expert and even displays a Quebec flag autographed by GSP in his bedroom (with many autographed items of Hughes and other MMA favorites).
My youngest son did not need to be sold on GSP and has been a fan from his first fight, and somehow we have persuaded his ex that Georges is "the best MMA fighter in the world," although his physique and good looks made that pretty easy.
Now, however, MMA fans need to convince Dana White that the best way to silence Tito Ortiz's bragging to the world about his relationship with "the Donald" and his signing with Affliction, is to give Georges an even better contract and repay him for his loyalty and service to the organization, both now and in the future
It would be hard to predict if a majority of MMA fans agree with me or not, but I think most are looking forward to having Georges headline many more UFC events.
And if that is not the case, I am sure that Affliction, one of GSP's sponsors, will sign an equally spectacular deal with the French-Canadian to promote their cause and fight for a company that apparently intends to do the best for their employees.
Seriously Dana, the sooner you do right by "our boy Georges", the better, in my humble opinion, that is.
