Angle opens up with the Sun

In a recent interview with the Baltimore Sun Kurt Angle talked about many issues. He talked about his contract, his injuries, and more. It was a solid interview worth checking out. I threw in few quotes to tease the taste buds. This one was worth the listen so check it out if you have a chance.

Angle on his future

He's going to continue wrestling full-time until his TNA deal expires in a year, he'll have to evaluate his future once it expires.

"Financially, I'm fine," he said.. "The hard part about leaving wrestling is I'll miss it. I have a couple of food companies now and I'm doing movies. If I do retire, I think it'll be a retirement match, and then a part-time schedule. It's so hard for wrestlers to leave the ring. It's difficult and I've given it thought. I have one year left on my contract with TNA and then I will evaluate from there."

Angle on his health

Angle says his knees, lower back, and neck are "always stiff," but he hasn't felt this good in a decade.

"I think this is probably the best I've felt, and it has a lot to do with the reduced work schedule in TNA where they're not using me at every house show," Angle said. "So having that lighter schedule has allowed my body to recuperate more."

"Many people have told me, including Vince McMahon himself, that my work style is too intense; too aggressive. I don't know if I can 'work smarter,' if you want to put it that way," he said. "I learned from wrestlers like Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit, who were under-sized, to make up for that by working with much more intensity."

Team 3D missing in action

In case some are wondering why they haven’t seen team 3D in action, It is because as of now their contracts are up. They aren’t booked for this week’s show, and I wouldn’t expect to see them at No Surrender.

The word going around is that they are talking things out right now. We should expect to see them back in action in time for Bound For Glory. I’m sure this isn’t too big of an issue considering how many talented teams they have to fill their spot on the roster. There is also talk of a DVD coming out by TNA featuring Team 3D.

Rumblings in the locker

It is being reported that by the Wrestling Observer that there is already trouble with Albert Del Rio. He is complaining too many in the back in regards to the decision to remove his trademarked mask he always wore. The feeling going around back is that Del Rio should just be happy with the monster push he is getting.
