The Top Dogs: MMA Kings
I'm going to be starting a reoccurring segment in my articles called The Top Dogs: MMA Kings. I think everyone can pretty much guess what this segment is about. I'm pretty much going to be discussing my opinions of the "Top Dogs" in the MMA World today. Not only will I be discussing today's kings, but I will also go through older fighters. Let's start off with a basic ranking of fighters new & old. We will start with the current fighters. I know that many of you have shared the fact that you think that past 10 my list is wrong, and I have agreed. When I relooked at it today I wondered about some of the decisions I made. Because of all of this I have decided to change the list to the top ten because I believe that those are the true TOP DOGS. 1-10:
- Anderson Silva: This guy is just ridiculous. He is all the skills and the tools to be and remain the champion for a long time to come. I'll just list a couple of his incredible characteristics.

- Georges St. Pierre: Also has ridiculous athleticism and great skills. He is so well-rounded but just does not seem to have the consistency (yet) of Anderson Silva.
- Fedor Emelianenko: Although many people believe him to be the best, no one actually knows anymore because he really has not had an honest even, challenging match in a long time. However, his game seems pretty much impeccable.
- BJ Penn: His skills once again are also great. Great stand-up, jiu-jitsu, and all other skills in the ring.
- Forrest Griffin: He has vastly improved and went toe to toe with one of the best in the business, Quinton "Rampage" Jackson, and won. Pretty much he is developing and should be at the top of his game soon.
- Miguel Torres: Although not too well known of a fighter, Miguel Torres shows sick jiu-jitsu, great stand-up and takedowns as well as smart fighting, and sports an amazing 34-1 record, without a loss since 2003.
- Urijah Faber: He has shown great stand-up as well as a good ground game and tremendous heart. He is truly the star of the WEC.
- Lyoto Machida: I know many people will disagree with this because it is not where Machida should be right now but it is where I believe he deserves to be. His methodical and slow-paced fight style has led him to an undefeated career thus far and he continues to improve, becoming more and more dominant every fight. I know many people will dispute this and the only reason that Lyoto Machida is above Rampage is because of his amazing jiu-jitsu skills. While Rampage is more dominant, Machida is smart and methodical.
- Quinton "Rampage" Jackson: With deadly slams and great stand-up, he is a very good fighter who unfortunately lost his last fight to Forrest Griffin, but he still shows skill and technique.
- Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira: He is a very good fighter with obviously amazing jiu-jitsu, probably one of the best BJJ in the world, however, he takes too much abuse every fight, and while he may win, his fighting style can't work forever. Having said that, he is the champion and has taken out many in the Heavyweight division.
That's all folks. I hope you keep on reading my articles and respond, especially to this one. Have a good day and I'll be writing my next edition of "The Top Dogs: MMA Kings" soon. So sorry for messing up it was the first time I have written a top 15 list before. Please keep reading.
