MMA: Affliction Should Get One Of These Bands to Play Second Show.

Music has always been a major part of my life. While in college I had the amazing oppurtunity to work at a radio station as a director and taste the sweetness of the music industry.

I have always been a fan of hard rock, the music that scares your mother and makes fans of Brittney Spears run for cover. I listen to a lot of different genres but as long as it can be played loud and fast I usually love it.

When Affliction announced that they were going to have a musical guest at their first MMA card I was stoked, Affliction has a lot of pull in the industry, I expected someone big.

Then the announcement came, Megadeath. What the hell? All the bands in the world and you pick Megadeath? While they are pioneers of metal they just aren't that relevant anymore.

So here are the bands that we should have seen at the first show or bands that should play at Affliction: Day of Reckoning. All the bands listed below have ties with Affliction or have been seen wearing their clothes.

HELLYEAH-

Badass super-group of good ol' boys that feature members of Mudvayne, Nothingface and has Vinnie Paul of Pantera/Damage Plan fame on drums.

Check out their track HELLYEAH.

Staind-

If you haven't heard of these guys feel free to google and see a million sites with that damn song they did with Fred Durst. They have done several years on the highly successful Family Values Tour and have sold a ton of records and will be releasing their sixth studio album in August of 2008.

Static-X

This band was meant for an MMA event. Crazy riffs, short songs and a front man with killer hair. You can't hear "Bled for Days" or "Push It" and not want to kick someone's ass or at least watch someone else do it.

Hatebreed

One of my favorite Hardcore bands of all time. I must admit I even have a Hatebreed tattoo, or at least lyrics from one of their songs. What could be better than seeing Hatebreed live? Seeing Andrei Arlovski come out to his theme song live.

The song "Onward To Victory" that Arlovski comes out to is done by the band Icepick. Icepick is a side project of Hatebreed front-man Jamey Jasta and was written specifically for Arlovski. It would be amazing to hear the song as Arlovski makes his way to the ring, it would be one of the greatest entrances ever!

Well there is my list of a couple of musical acts that should be considered for the Sophmore Affliction show.

Who would you pay to see at an MMA show?
