Pac-10 Football Is Better Than SEC Football: Part Seven
SEC fans seem to think their conference is so great. They constantly schedule non-conference cupcakes so that they can secure victories. Well why don't we take a look at some games and see just how invincible they really are. And then let's take a look at how those teams did that season and see how great the SEC really is.
2003 - Northern Illinois 19, Alabama 16
Alabama beat Kentucky and Mississippi State that same year.
Northern Illinois lost to Toledo and Bowling Green that same year.
2003 - Memphis 44, Ole Miss 24
Ole Miss beat Auburn, Florida, Arkansas, Alabama, South Carolina that same year.
Memphis lost to Southern Miss and UAB that same year.
2004 - Maine 9, Mississippi State 7
Mississippi State beat Florida that same year.
Maine lost to Hofstra, UMass, Montana, and James Madison that same year.
2007 - ULM 21, Alabama 14
Alabama beat Tennessee, Ole Miss, and Arkansas that same year.
ULM lost to Middle Tennessee State and North Texas that same year.
I dare someone to find this kind of evidence for the Pac-10 having such struggles against such mediocre teams. Just another way the Pac-10 rules the day.
THE LIST IS BUILDING:
8. The SEC has embarrassing non-conference losses.
