Rise of the Angel: Justin Gabriel's Road to WrestleMania

Royal Rumble: After the disbandment of the Nexus at Survivor Series, Wade Barrett became WWE champion but lost it to Sheamus at TLC, while the rest of the Nexus moved over to SmackDown!, where they overtook the blue brand. Skip Sheffield won the World Heavyweight Championship, David Otunga and Michael Tarver won the WWE Tag Team Championships, and Heath Slater won the Intercontinental Championship, leaving Justin Gabriel with nothing. After being stuck in the midcard a little bit, battling a heel Kofi Kingston, Gabriel is entered into the Royal Rumble match. He enters at number 13, standing strong and eliminating seven people. The final three members are Randy Orton, CM Punk, and Gabriel.

Punk gets in some quick offense but is quickly RKO'd by Orton, leaving Orton and Gabriel the last two men remaining. Orton hits Gabriel with a backbreaker and teases a punt to the skull, but Skip Sheffield comes out and distracts Orton, hitting him with his signature clothesline. Gabriel gains enough energy to hit a 450 Splash on Orton, and then disposes of him, becoming the 2011 Royal Rumble winner.

The next night on RAW: Justin Gabriel announces that he has been traded from SmackDown! to RAW by Teddy Long in exchange for Randy Orton, who will battle Skip Sheffield at WrestleMania for the World Heavyweight Championship. Gabriel announces he will battle the WWE champion, no matter who it may be, at WrestleMania. Elimination Chamber qualifying matches begin.

Elimination Chamber: The current WWE champion, Sheamus, battles Triple H, CM Punk, John Cena, and Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship. Sheamus and McIntyre start things off. CM Punk enters next. Punk is eliminated after a Celtic Cross by Sheamus, and Sheamus is then eliminated with a Futureshock DDT by McIntyre. Triple H enters next, and then Cena enters. Cena is eliminated by Triple H after McIntyre hits Cena with an elbow drop off the top of the Chamber Pod. Triple H then hits McIntyre with a Pedigree, winning the WWE Championship a ninth time.

The ensuing weeks on RAW: Sufficient buildup is done towards the match, with Gabriel defeating his former leader, Wade Barrett, and defeating the former champ, Sheamus. On the second-to-last RAW before WrestleMania, it's announced that the match between Gabriel and Triple H will now have a stipulation attached, which will be announced through a RAW Roulette, which is spun by none other than Shawn Michaels himself.

Michaels spins the wheel, and, unluckily for Triple H, the match type is a Loser Leaves Town match.

WrestleMania XXVII: After a spectacular WrestleMania that saw Skip Sheffield and Randy Orton battle it out in an I Quit match, and saw Sheamus end the Undertaker's streak and his career, the main event has finally come. Out first is Gabriel, complete with new music and pyrotechnics. Triple H comes out in DX Attire, an homage to his career which has been filled with ups and downs.

The match begins quickly, with Triple H landing some quick offense, but Gabriel retaliating. They go back and forth for a while, and Triple H hits a big lariat on Gabriel, sending him out of the ring, and Gabriel is almost counted out, but manages to roll back in the ring. Gabriel hits a nice elbow drop off the top turnbuckle, and gets a two-count, a nice near fall. Gabriel then locks in a triangle choke hold, almost getting Triple H to tap out, but he manages to wiggle his way out of it. Triple H then gains some offense, and hits a nice Dragon whip on Gabriel.

Gabriel manages to battle back, though, and hits a nice standing moonsault and then a  Shooting Star Press off the top turnbuckle, for a two-count once again. Triple H powers out again and then hits a low blow an Gabriel. Gabriel hits a crossbody on Triple H, and then a nice standing Senton bomb. He rolls Triple H out of the ring, and the Game looks almost incapacitated. Gabriel places him on the announce table, and then he gets up on the top turnbuckle, teasing a 450 Splash, but hesitates. He looks like he is about to get down, but the Nexus comes out, full with Daniel Bryan and Darren Young, the two exiled members.

Gabriel looks back at them, and they all nod. Gabriel hits his 450 splash, and rolls Triple H back in the ring before scoring the pin, ending an instant classic that will be remembered for ages.

So, I hope you liked my interpretation of Justin Gabriel's Road to WrestleMania as much as I liked writing it. I will sure be reading other peoples' RTWM's as well, and please vote for me. :)
