Call Favre's Bluff: Trade Him to The Chicago Bears For a 7th Round Pick
Brett Favre continues to demand a trade to an NFC North Division team, pretending he doesn't have a specific team in mind among the Chicago Bears, Minnesota Vikings and Detroit Lions.
Several Chicago Bear players recently expressed concern that if Favre is traded to the Vikings, the Vikings will immediately leap to the top of the division.
Green Bay's next move should be a call to the Bears to negotiate a trade--a move whichĀ will benefit the Bears, Lions and Packers, and give Favre what he says he wants.

Of course, the Bears probably don't want to take on Favre's $12 million salary. No problem. If the Packers were willing to pay $25 million to keep Favre down on the farm, they should be willing to pay part of Favre's salary to play for Da Bears.
Favre said he doesn't want to play football if he isn't the starting quarterback. How does Favre know he would be the starting quarterback on, for instance, the Minnesota Vikings unless he has been assured, somehow or some way, he would be the starting quarterback if traded to that team?
Reports are Favre told ESPN's Chris Mortenson today that Aaron Rodgers should be the starter in Green Bay because Rodgers has been in camp and it would be best for all parties for the Packers and Favre go their separate ways.
If that's true, Favre would readily accept a trade to the Bears or the Lions as soon as possible.
After all, Favre has denied talking to the Vikings about playing for them and the NFL has ruled discussions Favre had with Vikings "coaches" did not include any solicitations on either side regarding Favre hooking up with the Vikings.
Based on his statements so far, Favre would be thrilled to be traded to the Bears or Lions because those teams are, after all, part of the division, too.
Favre fans would likely be happy if Favre was traded to the Bears because that trade would grant Favre's stated desire.
