Anderson Silva: Unbeatable?
Anderson Silva is easily the best Middleweight in the game and clearly, the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world. He has wins over Chris Leben (he had 100% punch accuracy in that fight), Nate Marquardt, Travis Lutter, Rich Franklin (twice), Dan Henderson, and most recently James Irvin. Seriously, who isn't talking about this guy?
Now, I would normally point out the fighter's weaknesses and then strengths. Unfortunately, the only weakness Silva has is that he can't be in every weight class, thus he can't beat everyone. Honestly, what can you say about his game? Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, Grappling, Wrestling, a ridiculous thai-clinch, elbows, knees, striking. He has every tool, not to mention usually a significant height and reach advantage. He truly is a spider; scratch that: he is a daddy long-legs. He can wrap his legs around people so easily it's not even fair.

When you think about Anderson Silva, you can't picture him ever losing his title. I don't feel that much comfort with any other fighter. I don't see anyone who can beat him. (My dream fight is Georges St. Pierre vs. Anderson Silva, which would be crazy.)
My point is that Anderson Silva is a beast even at light-heavyweight. This guy is the champion; not only in the middleweight class, but in general. His demeanor is always so calm, he is respectful, and yet he is like a demolition ball that seems as if it will never stop. He rips through his opponents and takes advantage of their weaknesses. He fights whom he's told to, he always makes weight, and he puts on an exciting show EVERY time. That is something you don't find with all fighters.
The funny thing is that even if he can't find weaknesses to exploit, he fights someone and beats them at their own game, such as Travis Lutter, who submitted on a triangle choke.
In my opinion, Anderson Silva could continue this streak of ridiculous victories for a long time. The end of it will be a day for the history books.
