Report: AC Milan 0-5 Chelsea
Chelsea rounded off their pre-season preparations in style with a 5-0 demolition of AC Milan in the Russian Railways Cup in Moscow this afternoon.
Michael Ballack made his first start after his exertions at Euro 2008, and Branislav Ivanovic was drafted in at right-back.
The Blues didn't take long to open the scoring, Frank Lampard's whipped in free-kick heading straight into the net off Kalac's legs in the second minute.
Anelka then scored the first of his four goals, volleying in after Malouda's cross had deflected back to him off a Milan defender.
The Frenchman's second was a comedy of errors for Milan's keeper Kalac, who completely mis-kicked a back pass, leaving Anelka with the simplest of finishes.
Soon after Anelka had the chance to complete his hat-trick, but his header from Ivanovic's well placed cross was wide.
Deco came on for Ballack at half-time, and he made his mark almost immediately, finding Malouda who then crossed for Anelka to power in a header for his hat-trick.
Malouda provided another assist for Anelka, who tapped the ball in for his fourth, and sixth overall in pre-season.
Chelsea then eased off a little bit, with no more goals forthcoming.
However, Deco and Wright-Phillips did test Kalac before the final whistle blew.
