PGA Championship 2010: Who To Watch On The Weekend, Part One

Thomas MorelandAug 13, 2010

Tiger Woods will get a few holes in before dark and that late in the day, the wind might be calm or it could be howling.

His level of play this evening will bear watching, and he will try to climb up the leaderboard after many players are in.

It's always fun to know what number your shooting at, and it's kind of a small edge unless that number is out of reach.

Meanwhile my C fantasy player this week, Matt Kuchar, is your leader at a very nice two day total of eight under par.

Tiger, I'm sure, would be very happy to get into the weekend at four to six under par. This article started at about 4.30 pm est and will finish up at around 9 pm this evening knowing more than we do now.

It looks like Dustin Johnson may get a chance for redemption in a major after his epic meltdown at the US Open earlier this year at Pebble Beach. Johnson is currently at minus six with a couple of holes left.

Bryce Molder is also in at minus six, a fine two day score for the PGA Championship.

An outstanding young Korean player named Seung-Yul Noh is currently in a tie for fourth   at minus five so far, along with Englishman Simon Khan, and is trying to finish up.

Whoops, make that minus six for Noh as he notches another birdie.

Chad Campbell, Ernie Els, D.A. Points, Rory McIlroy, Zach Johnson, and Bubba Watson are all hovering around that minus four mark, and will be sure to be good names to watch on Saturday as they try to move up that leaderboard to fame and fortune.

It's 5:15 pm est now, and from now until 8pm or so someone will get hot and climb up into that minus six category, or perhaps higher. I will be back at 8:30 or so to complete the second day wrap up and keep you up date on Tiger Woods progression or digression, whatever happens.
