Five Underrated WWE Matches: 2004- Present

0 of 5

Hey guys, I'm really sorry for not producing an article in a LONG time. I don't know, besides the fact I was busy, I just got lazy and tired of writing articles.

Well, hopefully I can get back on track and bring you some fresh and new articles.

Today's article is going to showcase The Top 10 Most Underrated WWE Matches.

We all talk about Undertaker vs HBK at Wrestlemania 25, and Y2J vs HBK in a ladder match at No Mercy 2008, but we almost never talk about outstanding matches such as Edge vs Y2J at Wrestlemania 26.

Because these matches were under-rated or over-looked.

An under-rated match basically means a match that doesn't get the attention or praise from critics and fans that it deserves.

Now since I started watching WWE somewhere in 2004, I'm gonna make this list from 2004 to present day, which means recent matches could be included as well.

Just before you start reading, these are five random under-rated matches, not the five top under-rated matches, so don`t leave comments saying there were better under-rated matches, oh yeah and they are in order.

Well, without any further due, lets start reading, shall we?

5. Rey Mysterio vs Jack Swagger - Money In The Bank 2010

1 of 5

This was a great match, one of the best matches of 2010 so far.

Rey Rey went into the match with a "broken ankle," and still managed to pull of a stellar performance with Jack Swagger.

Throughout the whole match, there was fast paced action and reversal after reversal.

Even though it was an even match up, Rey overcame the odds once again to retain the World Heavyweight Championship.

4. Chris Jericho vs Edge- Wrestlemania XXVI

2 of 5

This match took place at this year's Wrestlemania and it was for the World Heavyweight Championship.

Even though the storyline between Jericho and Edge wasn't that great, they still had a magnificent match on the grandest stage of them all.

These two put on outstanding performances which was, without a doubt, expected from these two.

At the end of the match, Jericho beat Edge to retain the World Heavyweight Championship.

3. Raw Elimination Chamber- No Way Out 2008

3 of 5

This was one hell of an elimination chamber match.

Hardy, HBK, Triple H, Y2J, JBL, and Umaga each gave excellent performances.

There were finishers after finishers, aggression, and that hardcore factor that every elimination chamber match needs.

Even though anyone could have won the match, Triple H pinned Hardy and went on to Wrestlemania.

2. John Cena vs Edge TLC Match - Unforgiven 2006

4 of 5

A terrific match to end one of the best rivalries of the decade.

Cena went into Edge's hometown, Toronto, with one goal, winning the WWE Championship and Cena went through hell to achieve that goal.

After a vicious 25 minutes or so, Cena FU'ed Edge through two tables stacked on top of each other and retrieved the championship hanging above him to win the WWE Championship for the 3rd time in his career.

1. Chris Benoit vs Randy Orton- Summerslam 2004

5 of 5

This match was absolutely spectacular and one of my most favorite matches.

Both, Randy Orton and Chris Benoit went into the match wanting nothing other then to be the World Heavyweight Champion and they gave their 100% throughout the whole match.

The end of the match called for Benoit to put the cross face on Orton, but Orton reverses it and hits the RKO to win his first World Heavyweight Championship and becoming the youngest World Heavyweight Champion in WWE history.

After the match, Chris Benoit, in a sense, passed the torch to Randy Orton by shaking his hand and showing sportsmanship.
