Ron JohnsonJul 31, 2008

Tonight was a special night for TNA. For the first time, we all got to see shots of the upcoming TNA IMPACT! Video Game (due out in September). But that wasn't the only thing that made things crazy for tonight. With that said, here is the recap of tonight's IMPACT!

As the show opens, Booker T has announced that he will give us all a tour of the new and improved Six Sides of Steel. He also extends an invitation to Samoa Joe to join him in the ring. After that, it doesn't take long before the action begins on IMPACT!

First Bout: Beer Money defeats Christian Cage & Rhino (#1 Contender's Match)

Rhino and Robert Roode start off the match with Rhino dropping him with a clothesline. Cage comes in adn delivers a corkscrew elbow. Rhino and Storm continue the fight until Cage comes in and drops the Cowboy with a faceplant. The match spills to the outside where Storm spits beer in Cage's face to give Beer Money control of the match.

Back on IMPACT!, Beer Money has control over Christian, but Cage bounces back with a tornado DDT. Both men make the tags, with Rhino gaining control with a spinebuster. Cage drops Storm, and all hell breaks loose! Team 3D comes down to interfere with the match while Rhino drops Storm with a Gore. After Jacqueline and Johnny Devine run interference, Team 3D lands a 3D on Rhino to help Beer Money pick up the win and the match against LAX at Hard Justice.

After the match, Cage grabs the mic and issues a challenge to Team 3D: At Hard Justice, the two teams will collide in a New Jersey Street Fight!

Second Bout: "Black Machismo" Jay Lethal, Curry Man & Shark Boy defeat Johnny Devine & The Rock N' Rave Infection

Devine and the Infection start off the match with an ambush. As Machismo goes up top, the Infection begins to focus on Curry Man. Devine continues the assault until Curry Man drops a clothesline. Lethal comes and cleans house with a series of dropkicks. As Lance Rock interferes, all six men get into the ring. Shark Boy and Curry Man take out the Infection, and Lethal lands the Lethal Combination to pick up the win for his team.

After the bell, Lethal grabs the mic and tries to propose to SoCal Val again. But when he realizes that her ring is gone, he changes his mind and walks away furious. In the back, Super Eric makes it his mission to find the missing ring and reunite Val and Lethal.

Back on IMPACT!, Samoa Joe has arrived and made it clear that he wants both Booker T and Sting in the Six Sides of Steel tonight. JB catches up with Kevin Nash in an effort to talk some sense into Joe. Nash makes it clear that if they're going to go to war, they're going to need a plan.

Back on IMPACT!, Booker T is making his way to the ring. He comes down and gives a tour of the Loaded Six Sides of Steel. As he extends an invitation to Joe, the TNA World Champion comes out and says that if he gets in that ring, he's going to kick Booker's ass. As Booker tries to leave the ring, Nash comes out and blocks the only way out. With that, Joe unleashes some bottled up fury on Booker. As Nash carries Sharmell out of the IMPACT! Zone, a black bat drops from the rafters.

Booker takes the bat and drops Joe with it. As Booker walks away, AJ Styles and a few referees come down and help Joe out of the ring. As the show returns, Styles says he's had enough of these antics from Sting and calls him out. As he calls "The Icon" a coward, the lights go out. As Sting's music hits, the lights come on to reveal a focused Kurt Angle. After dropping Styles with a trifecta of Angle Slams, Angle celebrates his successful ambush.

Back on IMPACT!, Petey Williams is making it clear that he is not worried the least bit about his opponent tonight.

Third Bout: Consequences Creed defeats Petey Williams

Williams continues to show no respect to Creed, but Creed shows his toughness with the Consequences Combo followed by a cross body. Following a bulldog, Creed gets poked in the eye by Williams, who hits the hurracanrana on the outside. Back inside, Petey lands a jawbreaker followed by a standing dropkick to continue the assault.

But Creed bounces back with a quick kick, Creed Splash and clothesline. Despite the interference from Rhaka Khan, Creed nails the TKO, and after a missed splash off the top, Creed counters the Canadian Destroyer into a roll up to pick up the upset win. After the bout, we find out that Creed will face Williams again...this time for the TNA X-Division Championship.

Back on IMPACT!, AJ Styles makes it clear that he will greet Sting personally when he decides to quit being a coward and makes a match for Hard Justice with Kurt Angle: Last Man Standing.

Intermission: Karen's Angle with Kaz

Kaz continues his storybook history. But he then says that he still feels badly about what happened at Victory Road. He then confirms that at the conclusion of this interview, he is leaving TNA. After the show is done, Tomko comes in to do the dirty work of his boss, Kurt Angle.

Following the incident with Karen's Angle, Nash tells Lauren that when Sting is in the mood that he's in, it's bad news for everyone. A sore Joe comes in and says that he's going to confront Sting...tonight!

Fifth Bout: Matt Morgan defeats Sal Panardo

In one of the quickest matches of his career, Morgan gets ambushed by Panardo. But Morgan shakes off the ambush and lands the big splash followed by rodeo splash. As Panardo tries to shake it off, he gets dropped by the bicycle kick. Morgan hits The Hellavator to pick up the quick win.

After the bell, Morgan decides to call out Tomko for his actions on Karen's Angle. After getting called Angle's Bitch, Tomko comes out and confronts the seven-footer. After a pie-face, Morgan lands a quick shot on Tomko before security comes in and breaks it up. But after Tomko comes in and lands a cheap shot, Morgan lands the bicycle kick and shockingly enough, The Hellavator on Tomko.

Back on IMPACT!, Team 3D and Beer Money unite for one common goal: Taking out their enemies. With that, they counter the earlier challenge with one on their own: An eight man glass tables match between them and Christian Cage, Rhino & LAX. Also, the Prince Justice Brotherhood has found who the culprit is who has Val's ring, and they will confront him next week on IMPACT!

Main Event: Taylor Wilde & Gail Kim defeat The Beautiful People

Taylor and Velvet Sky start the match with Velvet getting a cheap shot. After Taylor lands a takedown, Angelina gets brought in. Kim comes and continues the assault until Velvet interferes to give TBP control. As TNA takes their final break, Samoa Joe is heading up top to find Sting.

Back on IMPACT!, TBP continues the punishment on Gail Kim. Angelina drops her with a mat slam and eye rake. Kim recovers and nails the codebreaker to get her partner in. Wilde comes in firing, and all four knockouts are now in the ring. TBP sends Kim, but not for long. Thanks to a dropkick from Kim, Wilde rolls up Sky to pick up the win.

After the bell, all four knockouts are slugging it out until Awesome Kong makes his return by taking out both Kim and Wilde with an Awesome Bomb. But ODB and Roxxi come down and save their comrades.

Up top, Joe continues his search. But all he finds is a black crow waiting for him when he reaches the rafters as IMPACT! goes off the air.

Next week on IMPACT!: The team of Beer Money and Team 3D face Christian Cage, Rhino and LAX in an eight man glass tables match. Also, AJ Styles, Kurt Angle, Samoa Joe, Booker T, Matt Morgan and others will be involved in a 10-Man Weapons Gauntlet Match! And will Sting finally return to answer the questions?
