College Football Power Rankings --- The Running Backs
I've listed the Top 10 quarterbacks coming into next season (Tebow was number one, in case you forgot), now I will rank the Top 10 running backs coming into next season...
Top 10 Running Backs:
1. Chris Wells, Ohio State: Nobody could stop him late in the year. He rushed for over 200 yards against Wisconsin, Michigan State, and Michigan, and finished the season off well against LSU.
2. LeSean McCoy, Pittsburgh: His team may have struggled but McCoy ran wild on defenses all season long as a true freshman.
3. Knowshown Moreno, Georgia: How will he fare having to carry the whole load this upcoming season?
4. P.J. Hill, Wisconsin: Struggled through injuries a year ago but when he's healthy he's dangerous.
5. Damion Fletcher, Southern Miss: Had a solid bowl performance against a very solid Cincinnati defense.
6. James Davis, Clemson: Will he be able to lead Clemson to an ACC title?
7. Javon Ringer, Michigan State: Another stud from the Big Ten.
8. Ian Johnson, Boise State: He has more rushing yards than any other running back returning next season.
9. Marlon Lucky, Nebraska: Not only a thread in the backfield but also in the passing game.
10. Arian Foster, Tennessee: The most underrated running back in football, should lead Tennessee to a surprisingly successful season.
Honorable Mentions: Tyrell Sutton (Northwestern), Joe McKnight (USC), Eugene Jarvis (Kent State), DeMarco Murray (Oklahoma), Noel Devine (West Virginia)
Best Running-Back Match-Up Next Season: Chris Wells against P.J. Hill in what should be for the Big Ten title. Chris Wells against Javon Ringer is also an intriguing match-up but Ringer could only muster 49 yards against the Buckeyes a season ago. Arian Foster and the Volunteers will have to travel to take on Knowshown Moreno and the Bulldogs in a key SEC East match-up.
