The 2010 football season is nearly a month away.  If I imparted one-liner wisdom to the Iowa Hawkeyes this season for each of their games, this is what they would hear.

vs. Eastern Illinois - There's no such thing as ghosts, especially of UNI or Jake Christensen.

vs. Iowa State - You've said you're the only football team in the state, so there's no other option than to back that up and kick some butt.

vs. Arizona - Don't think "Disaster in the Desert", think "Desert Storm".

vs. Ball State - Hmm.. not sure.. don't be distracted by your retro uniforms?

vs. Penn State - Revenge would be sweet for Joe Pa.. but it's Homecoming so he can't have it.

vs. Michigan - Ann Arbor is big, like the Shoe.. put on the "us vs. the world" mantle.

vs. Wisconsin - Don't underestimate a sleeper... especially a pesky badger.

vs. Michigan State - They'll try anything, so practice defending the Hook and Ladder and other tricks.. what will you do this time in 2 seconds?

vs. Indiana - At least it's not Halloween, but Stanzi still can come back from five interceptions.

vs. Northwestern - Sweet revenge time.. don't feed Clayborn breakfast and let him have a late lunch of Wildcat quarterbacks.

vs. Ohio State - Somebody's got to knock these guys off the mountain.. win it for Ricky.

vs. Minnesota - Senior Day, but let Vandenberg play.. almost time to pass the torch.

vs. ??? in Bowl or Nat'l Championship - GO HAWKS! Don't stop believing, play your hearts out and have fun.. you've earned it!
