Joba Chamberlain Hopes To Rescue the New York Yankees
The Yankees (58-48) are losers of three straight now, but they have their youngster sensation Joba Chamberlain (3-3, 2.30) going.
Joba's last outing was against the Boston Red Sox on Friday night, where he out-dueled Josh Beckett for a 1-0 victory.ย ย
Joba threw seven shutout innings, with nine strikeouts, on 103 pitches. He dominated a tough Red Sox lineup in Fenway Park. It was easily his best start yet.

The Orioles (51-55), who have a three-game win streak going, look to sweep the Yankees in this final game of a three-game set at Yankee Stadium.ย
They will send right-hander Dennis Sarfate (4-1, 3.78) to the mound. He makes his first big-league start at Yankee Stadium, which hits a little close to home since he is a native of Queens, NY. You can only imagine that he will have some family in the stands.
Sarfate will be replacing Brian Burres in the starting rotation, and it will take some time to build up his pitch count.
Look for the Yankees to take some pitches against this guy early on, to force the Orioles to go to their bullpen a few innings too soon.
Yesterday's 7-6 loss to the Orioles was a heartbreaker for the Yankees. Especially since they came back and scored six runs in the ninth, which would of tied the game, except that Mariano Rivera gave up a rare home run in the top half of the ninth.
After this series, the Yankees will remain at home for a four-game series against MLB's best, the Los Angeles Angels. A win against this Orioles team could prove to be crucial in the coming days.
Also, the Angels will be sporting their new first basemen, Mark Teixeira, whom they grabbed from the Braves for Casey Kotchman. Teixeira actually grew up a Yankee fan, and he idolizes Don Mattingly.
