So... the breaking news tonight on ESPN Friday Night Fights is Manny Pacquiao and Antonio Margarito are scheduled to fight in November.

I am absolutely annoyed with this news for various reasons.

I honestly believe this was Bob Arum's plan from the beginning. He knew Margarito couldnt get his license back in Nevada yet, so he had the Cowboys Stadium set aside for one of those two available November dates.

Then, the news over the last couple of weeks was that Floyd Mayweather had a deadline to agree to fight Manny Pacquiao last Friday. I never believed that at all. Here's why... one, we all know how Floyd Mayweather's personality is.

No one, I mean no one, especially Bob Arum gives Floyd "Money" Mayweather a deadline.

He fights when he fights; as he always states, "all roads lead to Mayweather, I dont need to chase anyone." Second, not only do I believe, but ESPN's Dan Rafael believes, that Floyd Mayweather and his advisors were never in talks with Bob Arum about the fight over the last few weeks. It was another ploy by the weird old man, Bob Arum.

Dan Rafael stated on ESPN Friday Night Fights tonight, "I finally spoke to Lenard Ellerbe (Mayweather's advisor) and he told me, Floyd has been on vacation with his family and he, nor I were ever in talks with Bob Arum or Team Pacquiao about setting up this fight. The deadline was made up."

The potential Mayweather vs Pacquiao fight will happen when Floyd wants it to happen, bottomline.

You can all blame Mayweather all you want but we truly dont know all the facts and details and its that simple.

Back to Pacquiao vs Margarito... this fight is a joke. Any real boxing fan will not and should not take this fight serious... it's a freak show.

Antonio Margarito has been thrown to the wolves by media and boxing fans ever since his hand-wrap incident, deservingly so. He cheated, why should anyone take him serious anymore. He's a fraud and Shane Mosley exposed him and whooped his overrated ass in January 2009.

So, he is suspended for one year and in his comeback he beats Roberto Garcia (a nobody) by decision in May and he automatically gets a shot to fight Manny Pacquiao? Manny Pacquiao? Give me a break! Bob Arum is such a crook and a greedy old man it's starting to reflect very poorly on the business side of boxing.

Again, Bob Arum has two of his fighters fighting eachother and in this case, this fight definitely does not make any sense, except for Arum. He and his family will be having another big payday.

There are so many more fighters that are more deserving to have a fight with Manny Pacquiao. For him to fight Antonio Margarito is beyond me. Why not undefeated welterweight champion Andre Berto? Why not fight the guy who called him out last week, undefeated Jr. Welterweight champion, Timothy Bradley? Why not Jr. Welterweight champion Devon Alexander? Why not a third fight with Juan Manuel Marquez?

For the Mayweather critics out there... instead of throwing Mayweather under the bus all of the time and calling him a ducker, ask yourself, why is Manny Pacquiao fighting the 5'11'' freakshow, aka "cement hands," Antonio Margarito? Hmm...

I wont even entertain this fight when it comes around. This fight is very, very bad for boxing.
