BIG EAST FOOTBALL: 2008 Big East Conference Predictions

The Big East Conference has shaken things up over the last couple of seasons.  Rich Rodriguez and Mark Dantonio left for the Big Ten, South Florida, UConn, and Cincinnati stormed into the picture.  Louisville hasn't regrouped following the loss of Bobby Petrino.  But even with all those changes the Big East is more competitive than ever.

The West Virginia Mountaineers are still the team to beat in the Big East, but they better not get too comfortable.  Right on their tails are Pitt, South Florida, Cincinnati, Rutgers, and UConn.  Any one of those teams could win the conference this season.  Check out my predictions for each team by clicking on the links below.

According to my predictions, the Big East final standings will look like this:

1.    West Virginia Mountaineers  10-2 (7-0)

2.    Pitt Panthers  10-2 (5-2)

T3.  South Florida Bulls  8-4 (4-3)

T3.  Cincinnati Bearcats  9-4 (4-3)

T3.  Rutgers Scarlet Knights  8-4 (4-3)

6.    Connecticut Huskies  8-4 (3-4)

7.    Louisville Cardinals  6-6 (1-6)

8.    Syracuse Orange  2-10 (0-7)
