Floyd Mayweather Sr. Turns to Manny Pacquiao With Vulgar Insults

Leo ReyesJul 22, 2010

Floyd Mayweather Sr., speaking over a radio program "On the Ropes Boxing Radio" in an interview as quoted by The Mushroom Mag, said Pacquiao is one of "the biggest faggots on the planet"

The word faggot is an offensive term for an openly homosexual man. Floyd Sr. also labeled Pacquiao as a "little Filipino midget".

Floyd Sr.'s insulting words came after his son was ridiculed for missing a deadline set by Pacquiao's promoter, Top Rank’s Bob Arum, for a battle against “Fighter of the Decade” Pacquiao on November 13.

Asked what he would tell Pacquiao if he can talk to him right now (during the interview), he said: "I’d tell him he’s a faggot. You know what I’d tell him. Go stick your head up under your dress. That’s what I would tell him. I’m being real with you. I’d tell him he ain’t nothing but a sissy and a little girl."

The reigning World Boxing Organization welterweight champion reacted on Wednesday to Floyd Sr.’s statements that his son, undefeated boxer Floyd Jr., is not scared of fighting of Pacquiao, whom he labeled as a “little Filipino midget.”

Floyd Sr. went on to say to say a mouthful about Pacquiao’s fear of Floyd Jr.

Asked if his son is scared of Pacquiao, Floyd Sr said: "Yeah, he’s scared. The only thing they’re trying to do is to switch this around and make it look like it’s my son that’s scared. He ain’t the one that’s scared. I know who’s scared for real. They want to try and make it look like Floyd is scared, and he wants to do this, and make him take the test. No. You take the test. There ain’t nothing wrong with you taking the test. You take the test, but one thing about it, don’t ask for the same amount of money because you don’t deserve it. You don’t deserve it."

When told of the harsh words from Lil Floyd's father, the humble Filipino boxer, who is now a congressman in the Philippines, said:

"Let's just laugh it off. He may not have been himself when he said that".

Pacquiao, meanwhile, said he doesn’t really want to blow up the issue since his camp is not to blame for the Mayweather fight not pushing through.
