Impact FC 2 Results: Pedro Rizzo Defeats Ken Shamrock, Paul Daley Wins
Pedro Rizzo used a simple kick to defeat Ken Shamrock in the first round of the Impact FC 2 main event Saturday in Sydney, Australia.
Rizzo kept Shamrock off-balance with strikes and opened up a small cut on Shamrock's forehead, but the end came when Rizzo threw a kick to Shamrock's thigh. Shamrock buckled and collapsed to the mat, causing referee John McCarthy to ask Shamrock if he wanted to continue. Shamrock declined and that was it.
Originally, I thought it was a submission win, but I've seen it listed as a TKO. Alright then.
Paul Daley wore out Daniel Acacio, using kicks and knees through the first two rounds before opening up a cut in the 3rd round off a right hand for a TKO victory. Not exactly the first round slaughter he was hoping for, but a win is a win when you're looking for a new contract, I suppose.
Despite nearly missing weight and keeping up his undependable status, Paulo Filho managed to take Denis Kang to a draw. The fight was said to be very bland. One judge had it 29-28 Filho, another had it 30-27 Kang and one had it a 29-29 draw.
