Nexus F&*K S#@T Up Yet Again: NXT 7/13/10 Review

Disclaimer: Sorry for the Late Review, I’ve been very busy lately.

Throughout Raw in its entirety, Nexus stated that they will return home to NXT and bring bedlam to the show. Well, they just did what their best at and that’s attack like a pack of wolves, which is fine of course. But this time, they actually brought ratings with them so it made NXT a show to watch. The question is, was it worth the watch?

First Match: Lucky Cannon and Mark Henry vs. Alex Riley and the Miz

As time goes by, I begin to realize that The Miz isn’t a good wrestler at all. I might even go as far as saying that Alex Riley showed more wrestling skill than The Miz. I find him atrocious; mediocre; all bark, no bite; It’s just sad to see that this what WWE has come to, only relying on talkers and not wrestlers.

Besides the Miz, the match was tolerable, and while the match was underwhelming for a start, it was alright

Match Rating: 6.5/10

Segment: The “Showtime” Percy Watson Show

To start off, the name should’ve been like “Showtime at Primetime with Percy Watson” or “Showtime at WWE” but the name they gave was lackluster. I can’t emphasize it enough, Percy Watson is phenomenal. Not only is he outstanding on the mic, but his wrestling skills are getting much better. A lot of people might say “you’re a hypocrite! You like Percy Watson but not The Miz! Boo!!! You SUCK!!” Well for those people, until The Miz shows some skill, I don’t think he should get into the main event, let alone a world title any time soon.

Ignoring my banter, the segment was segueing into the main event which was a battle royal. It was a solid segment but next time, showcase Percy much better.

Segment Rating: 8/10

Second Match: 20 Man Battle Royal: Nexus vs. NXT Pros and Rookies

If there wasn’t any story behind it, this would’ve been your typical battle royal; but since it was all about Nexus being bad asses, it was actually pretty enjoyable. They stayed out the match until like the end of the commercial break. And at the end, it was pros vs. Nexus, The Miz had to be an idiot and eliminate not only Zack Ryder, but himself. Cody was being vain yet again, and the only pros that weren’t pansies were JoMo and Kofi. The end confused me a little though. It’s a battle royal which usually means, only one winner. All of Nexus won. Why?? Well nonetheless, pretty solid end.

Match Rating: 8.5/10

Honestly, if it weren’t for the Battle Royal, this episode would’ve been on the same step from last week. Despite the lack of matches, the content and quality were pretty good.

Overall Rating: 8/10
