Miami Dolphins: The Rebuilding Process in the Past Two Years
Does anybody remember way back in the day when the Miami Dolphins were the most popular team in the NFL? Back in the '70s when they went undefeated to win the Super Bowl, or when the greatest quarterback of all-time, Dan Marino, was wearing their jersey?
Since Dan Marino retired it all just went down hill. But there was a sign of new life in 2002 when the thought they had found the cure for their rushing game. They traded for a superstar running back named Ricky Williams.
Do you people remember him in his first two season with Miami? This guy was unstoppable.

But 2004 came along and I think everybody knows what happened. That's when this huge team meltdown started. They had good things going for them when Ricky was running the ball, but since he ran away to God knows where the Dolphins have been falling apart.
Last season was a mess. That is basically the best word for it. Now to me I think personally this season will be even worse.
Last season they got rid of their franchise wide receiver Chris Chambers. Yes, they do have Ted Ginn, but who's going to teach him? Look at Chambers now. He's doing great in San Diego.
Miami got rid of Wes Welker, who is one of the best in the NFL and now in new England. McMichael, a great tight end. The list goes on with Sam Madison, Patrick Surtain, Olindo Mare.
Now this season it's getting even worse. Giving away Zach Thomas? Come on Miami what were you thinking? And don't get me started with Jason Taylor. OK, he's old, but he's the best player on the team hands down.
I don't get how Miami can give away those players but still keep Ricky Williams after all he's done to the team. This year all they have is Ronnie Brown and Ricky. Face it, that's it.
All we have to survive on is two running backs.
Last season was bad, but I'm feeling an even worse season this year. You may not agree but that is my prediction. Let's see what this season brings. Because right now it's not looking good.
