Changes in Nascar Good Or Bad?

NASCAR making several changes this season are they good or bad for the sport. Should NASCAR make the cars more alike? It was never a problem in the past; drivers would come out and give it all they had. This went on for almost 60 years without problems. When all of a sudden NASCAR decides that it is not fair that consistent drivers should win championships and it should be based on wins not consistency.

Here is an example let’s say that Mark Martin finishes in the top five every race next season and then gets to the chase and at Atlanta he gets wrecked by Matt Kenseth, since the points are so tight that would pretty much take Martin out of the chase. And Kenseth had five DNF’s throughout the season and he wins the championship. Should that be considered fair?

Next NASCAR decided that they need to make all of the cars even so nobody has any type of advantage. If you look at the IROC series which doesn’t exist anymore cause having everyone even just isn’t that exciting. I will say that I am all for a safer race car.It’s like playing God NASCAR should not be able to play God. Because before you know it they will be bringing all of the cars to the track. You won’t have to worry about team owners or even teams for that matter just to make sure that everyone is on a even playing field. As a matter of fact we should brainwash all of the drivers so they have all of the same track knowledge so that one driver doesn’t know more about the track or racing than the next.

I believe in making the cars safer but why do you have to dumb down the racing so that it isn’t that exciting the teams should be able to test where ever they want whenever they want. Give teams that have a more money and more experience do better. It is evening the playing ground for new teams but everything is so expensive that there aren’t very many new teams entering. And why should a team just starting out be even with everyone else. You don’t see that in any sport. The NFL is not changing around the teams rosters so that all the teams are even so why should NASCAR do that. NFL teams spend their money how they want NASCAR teams should be able to do the same thing.

I believe we should run the same car as the Nationwide series mayebe even take the aerodynamics out of the car so that it goes back to the good old beating and banging.

I think that if NASCAR continues to play God that soon it will be back to the good old slot car tracks that we used to play with as kids. It is just too much to be messing with without basically deciding all of the team decisions for them. NASCAR should change the rules to what they used to be cause that works.

Overall this article is to provoke some thought along with some controversy. If you have gotten this far you either want to punch me in the face or you agree with me. Some of you may be thinking I am an idiot for comparing NASCAR and the NFL. But I hope my message is clear. Change isnt always a bad thing but it isnt always a good thing!
