Late Season Blackouts: NFL Network Steals Games

Miss the Indianapolis–Atlanta game?

Yeah, I did too.

Not that I would have watched it, but even if I wanted to I wouldn't have been able.

The game was aired by the NFL Network, which is not provided by many cable service providers.

This pisses me off.  I am a college student with a scarce money supply, and I can't watch my dear NFL football.

Two words: "bull" and "shit."

I am not pissed because I couldn't watch the Colts massacre the Falcons. I'm pissed because of upcoming games to be televised on the NFL network—like this week's Dallas–Green Bay game.

This is the second most hyped game of the year and it should be watched by NFL fans all over the country—but it won't be.

Other games carried by NFLN include a Week 14 duel between NFC wildcard hopefuls Chicago and Washington, and the Broncos–Texans fight battle in Week 15.

Considering the potential playoff implications of these games, why does the NFL want to prevent people from tuning in? Maybe if NFLN was televising Miami–Pittsburgh or all of the NFC West games, nobody would care.

The NFL Network should just continue doing what it does best—playing previously aired games or showing in-depth analysis of teams, not televising live games.

Doesn't the NFL make enough money without creating their own cable channel to increase revenue?  Maybe they should look into other causes that matter—like the Gridiron Greats Assistant Fund for retired NFL players.

It just makes me upset I can't watch great football—and it should make you upset too.
