Open mic-Brett Farve Retirement

It is quite obvious that Brett still wants to play.Also quite obvious that his struggling with this decision has been a rough ordeal for the packer organization as well.Where this all goes bad is when the problems in the negotiations become a public forum.It looks real cheezy and after all this is ONLY a game.The world is going to turn in the same old way whether he is playing or not.

Should Brett decide to return,and the is no reason why he should not if he wants to play,he is still by contract a Green Bay Packer and ought to, in respect to the loyal ones of Lambeau Field take the field for whatever is going to be the remainder of his quarterbacking days in his number 4 Packer uniform with a big smile on his face.This would be a good lesson about team loyalty for young people as well.

Also it is true that he may have to don some humility and sit back as a reserve to allow his understudy,Aaron Rogers to have his fair shot at leading the offense.you know,let the chips fall where they may.From what we have seen this period may not even make it through preseason.

For Mr.farve to be traded,which again is silly..a temper tantrum if you will,as a Tampa Bay fan let's look at the scenario of him coming here as we would be the most obvious choice.For one,the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are,have been, and always will be a defense oriented football team.John Gruden,who has visions of having a super bowl offense here shall never see that dream come to life,the super bowl winners he inherited here came from Tony Dungy's team of heart and soul,a team that used to be a part of our community which they no longer are,they are as distant from us as the San Diego Chargers.We do not benefit from any good fortune they attain,they take their money and go home.Plus he had the tremendous advantage of playing the super bowl against his former team,the Raiders,whose offense they were still using he designed.Now let us take the genius of Monty Pippen and the meanest gang tackling defense in the game and put them out there already knowing every formation the Raiders were going to throw and it is no wonder the Bucs got the gold that day.(It was great,you don't know the pain of being a Bucs fan!)The Bucs offense that year was better than all the others but it was still mediocre at best.The biggest job they had was just to stay on the field so the defense would be rested up for the easy meat.We must have the record for times where the defense has outscored the offense!Brad Johnson took the licks and was brilliant that season.As well as the A -TRAIN AND THE TOUGHEST LITTLE GUY WITH THE BIGGEST HEART IN PRO FOOTBALL,MR.WARRICK DUNN.Brad Johnson,(whose balls clank when he walks)was the first Tampa Bay QB to ever stay in the pocket,what there is of it,a few fleeting seconds, and not have a panic attack  throwing interceptions just to get off the field!I got totally turned off to John Gruden when he did not attend the funeral of Tony Dungy's son here in Tampa because of a  team meeting,He showed by this  he had no concern for our community,he just wants his money.His interests are all California related-he should go back to the Raiders.Then he disrespected and dismantled that great team for his own vision,even though some of it's stalwarts such as Jon Lynch and Mike A-train were willing to take a pay cut to stay with the Bucs,man that is unheard of in this league!Again-TEAM LOYALTY BRETT! and we shall allow Gruden's record from then on to speak for itself,yes they made the playoff's last year because They had a schedule that was a walk in the park,beating up on the Atlanta Falcons and the New Orleans Saints,teams that were disorganized at the time.When they came to the playoffs to face a real team Tampa Bay gave up trying for all practical purpose of winning the game in the first quarter.

So we pick up from there with  Brett coming to Tampa bay to take some snaps behind the worst offensive line in the league.The Buccaneers do not spend the big bucks on  the offensive line,they never have, they spend it on big name receivers and running backs that they hope will pull them throughWho normally end up injured pretty quick!A poor Tampa bay quarter back looks like he has been hit by a truck after EVERY game.They celebrate getting traded! And to come here Brett,and we love you even having been your arch enemy so many times,instead of the team logo you may as well put two red bullseye's on the side of your helmet,and forget number 4 on your jersey puts two red bullseye's there too  because we do not have a cakewalk schedule this year and every defense we play is going to key on you.Let us be realistic here...how may hits do you think you can still take? If you come here you are going to look second rate and will probably spend the aftermath of every play sitting on you dupa or being carted off on a stretcher while the announcer goes "Well it looks that finally that is the end of Bret farve's career in pro football." Could he bear while in the hospital to see Terry Bradshaw in the TV studio saying "Yep,he should have retired while he had it good!" I am not taking the time to write this to be a crank,I am writing this as one of your great fans who has hated you when you beat our asses from time to time.

If you are going to play your team still wants you,your hometown fans still want you,do the right thing man,the honorable thing...play for YOUR team! Man up and be a packer all the way!
