New Website Aims To Be All-In-One Stop For SEC Fans

SECSportsHub.comJul 25, 2008

With the plethora of sporting websites out on the internet, it's amazing how difficult it is sometimes to find exactly what you're looking for.  Often times it's a simple stat, conference standings or an article on a breaking story.  Many sites offer one or two of these features, but not all of them.

The launch of the latest SEC Sports website might signal an end to the days of endless searching.

SEC Sports Hub is a uniquely designed site that will allows fans of the Southeastern Conference unprecedented access to their teams and teams across the conference.  The website offers a team page for each member institution.  This page is that school's portal to the rest of the news that the site offers on the team: from conference standings, to the latest news, to recruiting classes.

Each team page is divided into four major sections: Football, Basketball, Baseball and Other Sports.  These pages take users directly to their team's current news in that sport, as well as showing a listing of all the recently posted articles, conference standings and recruiting rankings.

This unique design allows users to quickly browse through one website, rather than switching from site to site to find news on different sports.

SEC Sports Hub also offers an interactive and lively forum, where members from all the teams can discuss SEC Sports as a whole or their particular team.  The forum's structure allows for easy browsing and location of specific news.

Another unique feature that SEC Sports Hub offers related to the forum is a ground-breaking idea.  SEC Sports Hub puts a "Comment" link at the bottom of each article, which then takes the user directly to the forum where that article is posted.  This allows users to easily switch back and forth from the main site to the forums.

The forums themselves also offer a few nifty features, such as a "Thread of the Day", "Poll of the Day", and hottest topics.  All of these are updated daily and help to create an even more interactive board of discussion.

The forum also plans to undertake a unique gladatorial-like debate concept.  Two users will be selected to verbally spar on a given topic and will be given a set limit of posts in which to make their case.  After they have finished arguing, a poll will be added to the topic to determine a winner.

SEC Sports Hub is also planning the release of it's 2008 SEC Football Preview.  The preview is set to release it's first section on August 1st and continue releasing portions until around 1 week before the season starts.  The preview will offer unprecedented position-by-position breakdowns on every SEC team.  Some of these breakdowns have already been leaked (Auburn Tigers Position Breakdown: Defensive Line , LSU Tigers Position Breakdown: Quarterback) and all indications are that this preview will be the best SEC Football Preview on the web by far.

This and many other features make SEC Sports Hub an intriguing new site to say the least.  The site has developed extremely quickly and has become active in just over a week.  At the rate it's going and with some of the ideas that the owners have for developing this site, it could quickly become one of the most popular SEC websites on the internet.
