Note to the Affliction Organization: Women in MMA Would Sell
Something that I would like to bring to the new Affliction organization's attention is a facet of MMA that their number one competitor (the UFC as represented by Dana White), is trying to ignore: there are beautiful women fighting in MMA who would be very marketable for their next promotion.
The young woman above who is Karissa Winett of California (featured currently in an MMA Madness article), is one of the new counterpoints to the male MMA gladiators. She is training and has hopes of having a profitable career in the world of MMA.
She has other talents and abilities, and unlike some women in MMA she is vocal about having a "girl crush" on Gina Carano and is quick to lavish praise on her as a top women competitor.

Just as Gina is a draw for the Elite XC organization on their CBS "Saturday Night Fight" programs, there are other eager young women just waiting in the wings to be the next "face" to be discovered.
In another article I had jokingly mentioned putting 16 young women in a house like the UFC TUF series which has been so successful on Spike TV.
Well, it doesn't have to be a joke anymore and could be brought to fruition on a new reality TV series if another organization would just recognise what a money- making opportunity this could be.
After EliteXC's first program "The Saturday Night Fights" aired on CBS, they got the most comments regarding the women's fight--and they were primarily favorable and eager to see more.
All over the world young women are training in mixed martial arts with hopes of competing in the sport. They have two excellent mentors and spokeswomen in both Gina Carano and Kim Couture. Someone is needed to help them with the next step a venue to showcase their abilities and to help increase their experience in the arena.
Sooner or later women will break through in the sport of MMA just as they have in the WNBA, Tennis and even in the field of racing (horses and cars). Why not become a pioneer and bring this to the public now?
After years of "the little woman keeping the home fires burning" while the menfolk took off for wars and other exploits, isn't it time for them to have a chance to have "something more"?
If worse comes to worse, at least you could find a new market for your designer tee shirts in wet tee shirt contests nationwide in all the best bars.
