United To Unleash More Talent

Manchester United's tour of South Africa continues tomorrow with a clash against Kaizer Chiefs in the final of the Vodacom Challenge at Loftus Stadium in Pretoria/Twshane. For many young and old South African fans from the Gauteng Region it will be a dream come true when they see some of their heroes in action, the likes of Carlos Tevez, Wayne Rooney, Ryan Giggs and the list goes on.

But Sir Alex will look to play many of his younger members who are traveling with the team, many who have proved themselves in the reserves, or on loan. Amongst them are Fraizer Campbell, Lee Martin and Johnathan Evans. But the United coach has also called three more young guns who landed on Wednesday at OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg.

United have a tough two days ahead with Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday and Portsmouth on Sunday in Nigeria. So Ferguson will have his work cut out in deciding how to manage the squad and making sure no player sustains any injuries. One of the youngsters called up, is recent signing Rodrigo Possebon, a 19 year old brazilian signed in January from International Club in Brazil. Many people have labelled him as the "Wonderkid", and tomorrow at Loftus he will have the opportunity to prove himself in from of a full South African crowd and a game broadcasted on MUTV. For a youngster he will definitely relish the moment and hope to impress his manager and attempt to break into the first team.

Tom Cleverley and Craig Cathcar are the other two youngster who have flown to South Africa, and will be hoping to get a chance to face the Giants of Southern Africa in what hopes to be a fierce battle between two clubs which will bring thousands of passion fans to the stadium. Chiefs will also have something to prove as they will try to win their second Vodacom Challenge against United, and after beating arch rivals Orlando Pirates for a place in tomorro's final the country will be behind them in anticipation of a great performance. Talking of young talent, Chiefs have one of their own to boast about, Itumeleng Khune a 21 year old goalkeeper who has impressed if the likes if Alex FergusonĀ  who has great keeping ability, and understanding of the game. His role in tomorro's game will be of out-most importance and maybe a chance for one of Europe's big clubs to snatch him.

As a United fan and a great admirier of Kaizer Chiefs i hope for another thrilling encounter between two highly talented clubs, and may the best team win.
