It's funny how quickly things can change.

It wasn't very long ago that Jake Shields defeated Justin "Mayhem" Miller via unanimous decision to claim the vacant Strikeforce Middleweight Championship.

Then just a couple of months ago, Shields pulled off what many believe to be a monumental upset as he successfully defended his crown against the newly acquired veteran Dan Henderson.

Many in the MMA world praised Shields for his recent accomplishments, including one Frank Shamrock.

In May, Shields' contract with Strikeforce ended and the promotional free agent now looks to be close to signing a deal with Dana White and the UFC.

Now, it doesn't look as if Shamrock is nearly as impressed with Shields as it originally appeared.

Marcos Villegas of recently conducted an interview with Shamrock where he revealed Shields "sucks as a fighter. He's terribly boring."

There are definitely some that will agree with his statement.

And while I appreciate the honesty of Shamrock, I would have respected it a whole lot more if he had said it from the beginning.
