We've heard him say it a thousand times: ''I am the best in the world at what I do!''
Here is why he IS the best in the world at what he does.
1) He is great as a babyface
Do we all remember the cocky Y2J? If not, these phrases should help to jog your memory: ''assclown,'' ''junior,'' ''jerichoholics.'' Remember now?
Remember the constant insulting of Stephanie McMahon? Remember how he mocked anybody who crossed his path?
These were the days when Jericho could show us what he is capable of as a babyface.
I don't think anybody can argue that he is a top babyface.
2) He is even better as a heel
If he is good as a babyface, he is fantastic as a heel. Ever since returning to WWE, Jericho has re-invented and outdone himself.
He has added yet another facet to his already versatile personality. No matter what he says or how he dresses, he can always draw major heel heat.
Is Jericho the greatest heel of all time? Probably not, but nobody can deny that he is in the top five.
3) His Mic Skills
Nobody who is a true wrestling fan can argue with this next sentence: Chris Jericho is the man with the best mic skills in the WWE.
Cutting a promo is a lot harder than I thought, but Jericho has mastered it to perfection.
Every time he has a mic, people listen. Whether it is because they want to or because they want to react to what he says, people listen.
4) His In-ring Abilities
While nobody is claiming that Jericho's body is a work of art, he is still better in the ring than a lot of guys in the WWE.
As one of the most athletic men in WWE, his arsenal of moves is phenomenal. Whether it be the Walls of Jericho, the Lionsault, the Codebreaker or missile dropkicks, he aims to please when he fights in the ring.
His technical abilities are great too, and it is a rarity that his matches are poor.
5) His Attitude
Chris Jericho epitomises the 'team player.' Jericho does what he is asked to do and then adds his own unique style to it.
Whether it be competing for titles or putting over young talent, Jericho does not complain, he just does it.
Look no further than his Raw match with R-Truth this week. He could have simply gone out their in a bad mood because he's not in the main event scene and put on a bad match.
But, this is Chris Jericho. He went out there, put on a great match and put R-Truth over.
Think about it, when was the last time you heard of Jericho abusing his position in the company and using his status to his advantage? Never, that's when!
So, ladies and gentlemen, it is time to applaud the man who is the best in the world at what he does.
