Hulkamania Over Hated Underrated
A while back i wrote an article about the most underrated matches in pro wrestling history. One of them was hulk hogan vs Stan Hansen in japan. Hulk hogan has great wrestling skill I'm serious he has the skills. In 1984 he wrestled Antonio Inoki in japan. he showed technical prowess matched by few. Now you may say "then how come he used very few moves in the wwf'" people don't want to see technical wrestling fans want to see the flamboyant charismatic superhuman known as Hulk Hogan. They want to see there favorite over come the odds and show off his pecs. If Hulk Hogan wrestled like he did in japan he would have never broken out like he did. Now me personally I love Hulk Hogan, I love him. Hulk Hogan is by far the most entertaining man in the history of sports. Any one who watched his match vs the rock at wrestlemania 18 would know that. Now you will get no argument from me that he is way past his prime however i still believe he can be a draw under the wwe system. Not as a wrestler but as an on screen authority figure or manager. To be honest lets say John Cena went to TNA i highly doubt he would draw major ratings, I think that tna has hit a point where some people just refuse to except them because they are not the wwe. Also I have come to realize that many people will watch the wwe just because they are the wwe, this is why tna's ratings are down not just Hulk Hogan.
Hulk Hogans Ego:
Many fans have expressed disgust in Hogan recently and to be honest, that's really sad. Hulk Hogan has taken a lot of physical abuse for the Industry and also he has taken a huge beating in public opinion by sticking up for McMahon and saying he received steroid's elsewhere. Hulk Hogan no longer has much of a home life and i very much believe that if i where not for professional wrestling fans he would have nothing. That is why i believe he came back not to stroke his ego but to be with the one group of people who until recently have always excepted him. Ultimately I Believe he need not spend so much time on TV and should be less involved in storylines and booking but, I think as long as he is limited to being a part of one storyline at a time he can do positive things for TNA. Ladies and gentlemen what I ultimately am asking you is go a little easier on the hulkster because we maybe the only thing that makes him feel good about himself like we where for Shawn so lets all be a little more respectful in our criticisms of him.
