His Last Chance: How Scott Hall Ruined His Career For Good
Scott Hall was given his last chance. TNA Wrestling may have saw something different in Hall but after his ugly arrest recently, “The Bad Guy” may very well be on his way out for good.
The sad part is that addiction can always comeback to haunt a person.
Back in 1998, when Hall was wrestling for World Championship Wrestling (WCW), the company ran a very controversial storyline with Hall acting drunk on-camera.
Unfortunately, that acting was what Hall was suffering from in real life.
After returning to the WWE in 2002, the company released Hall shortly after due to erratic behavior.
10 years later, Hall was again in the center of controversy when he took an Owen Hart joke seriously, and bashed Jimmy Graham at an event held for Iron Sheik.
Hall was arrested and claimed he was drunk at the incident. If anyone takes a look at the footage recorded online, Hall appears to be intoxicated.
Then, on January 4th, 2010, Hall returned to national television with TNA.
It seemed Hall was getting his life back in order. He also received praises, as many viewers who watched TNA’s Destination X were impressed with Hall’s physical appearance.
However, his last chance was snatched away on May 14th when Hall was arrested on charges of disorderly intoxication and resisting an officer.
The story itself is quite disturbing. Here is a quick recap on what happened that night:
At 1:43 a.m, the Seminole County Sherriff’s Office in Florida was called to the scene for a disturbance.
After Hall was being placed in custody for disorderly intoxication, he refused to get into handcuffs.
The report goes on saying he was drinking heavily and became aggressive. Sad story.
What a sloppy position TNA is in right now. Hall is one-half of the Tag Team Champions. What should TNA do with Hall?
The answer is obvious.
Hall had his final shot to prove himself and failed to deliver. His life has been around controversy and the best thing for him is to clean up his problems.
It’s amazing what a few drinks could lead to.
