Tonight's Predictions for WWE Over The Limit

The Animalistic-Viper LP23Correspondent IMay 23, 2010

WWE's Over The Limit pay-per-view debuts tonight. Everyone has the impression that it's going to be another gimmick pay-per view event with stipulations in all main events.

Well that's not the case.

There was an WWE PPV called Over The Edge , yea I know thats scary, R.I.P. Owen Hart.

But let me break down the matches and share my opinions on what could happen tonight. This match card is impressive, and may be the best card the WWE has produced since WrestleMania XXVI this year.

Ted DiBiase (w/Virgil) vs. R-Truth

Two mid-carders that get a chance to shine. This is DiBiase's first singles PPV match. This feud started because DiBiase wanted another manager or a Virgil, so he asked R-Truth to inherit the role, but Truth turned him down down.

Ever since then, DiBiase has been paying other superstars to do dirty work on Truth. I think this match is going to be good-paced, and DiBiase wins with the "Dream-Street."

There's a chance that Joe Henning, the son of Mr.Perfect, could debut by interfering in the match.

Diva's Championship Match: (C) Eve vs. Maryse

This match is going to be short and Eve will retain her title by hitting her Handspring standing moonsault  on Maryse. Maryse will be mad, and start posing. Maryse will get the mic and say's she's the best in the WWE.

Intercontinetal Championship Match: (C) Drew McIntyre vs. Kofi Kingston

Kofi Kingston had to relinquish his title to Drew McIntyre, and Kofi looked pissed, so I know he wants some revenge. Expect McIntyre to find an easy way out of the match by slapping the referee or getting a countout.

Referee Teddy Long will eventually come out and restart the match, and say if he does try to take an easy way out, Kofi becomes new champion. The match will then be started and then as it's coming to an end, Drew will be putting Kofi in the Future Shock.

Out of nowhere Matt Hardy comes out and distracts McIntyre. Then when Drew turns his head, "Bang!" Trouble in Paradise, Kofi pins McIntyre to become new Intercontinetal Champion.  Hardy then comes in the ring and hits the Twist of Fate on McIntyre and stares at him.

Unified Tag Team Championship Match: (C) The Hart Dynasty vs. Chris Jericho and The Miz

Chris Jericho & The Miz will debut their theme songs mixed together before announcing their tag team name is "Jeri-Miz." Then The Hart Dynasty comes out with Bret Hart and Natalya, and Hart will tease The Miz by holding the United States Championship up.

This match will be a good one. The Miz attemps to attack Bret Hart, but with Natalya and DH Smith by his side, Jericho hits the Codebreaker on Kidd and Jerico and The Miz are new Unified Tag Team Champions.

Later, Bret Hart will be backstage and announces that he's vacating the United States Championship tonight, and tommorrow night on RAW there will be a tournament for the United States Championship.

S.E.S. Pledge vs. Hair Match: CM Punk vs. Rey Mysterio

Another classic match by two technically sound wrestlers, but the Straight-Edge Society masked man will interfere and CM Punk hits the GTS on Mysterio knocking him out. Mysterio will then be pledged into the S.E.S. by GS and CM Punk. Following that, the masked man will reveal himself as Joey Mercury.

And then the Straight-Edge Society will carry Mysterio to the back. CM Punk looks at Rey's Mask, teases on removing it, but will save it for another time. But does this mean Rey Mysterio is Heel?

World Heavyweight Championship Match: (C) Jack Swagger vs. The Big Show

This feud is comparable to Kurt Angle vs. Big Show cause the Show used to tease Angle like Lesnar/Show in a way.

Back to the match, it's going to be slow but good.

Swagger will hit the Gutwrench Powerbomb causing the ring to collapse while they are both laid out.

Paramedics come to checkout both, and Swagger remains champion.

Remember Brock Lesnar and The Big Show broke the ring when he hit a Superplex on The Big Show on SmackDown June 12, 2003. Swagger and Big Show will both be laid out and the crowd will give them both big props.

Randy Orton vs. Edge

This will be the match of the night and a candidate in Match of the Year.

It will be back and forth with move after move. There's going to be alot of intensity and the crowd is really going to be into it. After kickout after kickout, Edge attempts to go for a Spear, but Orton counters.

Orton hits the RKO , and the crowd erupts. After the match Orton poses on the ropes, and as soon as he turns his head, Edge hits a Spear on Orton. Edge poses and stares at Orton.

"I Quit" Match for WWE Championship: (C) John Cena vs. Batista

Together they're going to pull another great match.

However, there'll be a twist to the end of this match, but hold on just wait.

Sheamus will eventually interfere and hit Cena with three Bicycle kicks and hit the Pale Justice on the tables. Then Batista is going to hit three Spinebusters, and get the steel steps and Batista Bomb on Cena three times.

Batista asks Cena does he quit, and he doesn't respond. Batista is frustrated and finds handcuffs and duct tape. He handcuffs Cena on the ropes, duct-tapes his legs on the ring post, gets steel chairs and continues to hit Cena in the head with the chair multiple times. Then he puts the mic to Cena and he say's "I Quit."

The crowd is shocked and thrilled. Heads are down with little kids crying. But they don't know Batista used a pre-recording taping of Cena saying "I Quit" from Monday Night RAW.

Remember The Rock did that to Mankind at Royal Rumble 1999. New WWE Champion Batista celebrates and poses. The crowd gives him a lot of heat and he walks down the ramp laughing. Cena gets rolled on a strecher. WWE Over The Limit is over. The crowd chants "Cena Quitted."

So my predictions are: Batista becomes new WWE Champion, Jeri-Miz new Unified Tag Team Champions, Kingston new Intercontinetal Champion, Rey joins the S.E.S., Orton defeats Edge, while Swagger & Show break the ring.

What are your thoughts and predictions on what will happen tonight at Over The Limit. Thank you.
